Whimsy & Wonder Gift Bag and Coordinating Christmas Card. Ink Stamp Share Showcase Blog Hop. October 2021

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

I'm hopping with the Ink Stamp Share ladies this afternoon and it's our Showcase Blog Hop where we can show any projects that we have been working on. I have been working on Christmas this week so I thought I would share a gift bag and coordinating card I made. It's super simple and lets the DSP do most of the work - I just love the Whimsy & Wonder DSP.

GIFT BAG

Take the DSP and score as follows:-

Long Side Full Scores - 1 1/2", 5 3/4", 7" & 11 1/2"

Long Side Part Scores - 3/4" & 6 1/2" down to approx 4"

Short Side - 6 1/2"

Fold and burnish all the full score lines (you can leave out the part score lines until later). Hold it so that the skinny rectangle is to the right and the horizontal score line in along the bottom. Cut up all these score lines to release the sqaure, to make these tabs notch in ever so slightly. Make sur eyou keep your cut to the side of the rectangle straight.  Cut away the small retangle in the bottom right and the notch both the top and bottom of the remaining long skinny rectangle.

Add tear and tape to the the skinny rectangle, fold round and attach to the opposite side. Fold in the back and sides and the bottom, then glue down the front piece to create your base.

Pinch in the top of the bag, those part acore lines will help the bag close nicely and neatly.

Wrap the misty moonlight strip of card stock round the top of the bag and adhere the ends together. Make sure the join is ofset. You will need to trim off excess cardstock.

Add a fussy cut bauble over the join - making sure you only add glue to the misty Moonlight strip - otherwise the bellyband will not come off.

Add the sentiment which is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on a scrap of basic white to the centre of the strip. Add a couple more fussy cut elements.

CARD

Take the Misty Moonlight card stock and fold along the score line. Add a fussy cut bauble to the basic white piece and place this inside the card.

Adhere the DSP to the card front and add a sentiment, stamped as above and layered onto a scrap Misty Moonlight. Add this to the card front along with a few fussy cut elements.

I hope you have enjoyed today's project, please continue through the hop and see all the other amazing creations. Cheryl is up next, click the next button to head over to her blog
