Turtle Friends Happy Birthday Card. Ink Stamp Share Tic Tac Toe Challenge Blog Hop

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

I'm hopping with the Ink Stamp Share ladies today and we are all following a Tic Tac Toe Board. I love there's types of challenges because you have to use three elements that are in a straight line on the grid - therefore sometimes using or create something you wouldn't normally.

Here's the card I've made using the Turtle Friends Bundle which is just so cute....

And here's is the Tic Tac Board we had to work from. I chose Square, Ribbon & Critter, because if I'm honest I think this was a really tricky board for me to follow.

Measurements

Shaded Spruce Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8

1pc - scrap

Soft Sea Foam Card Stock

1pc - 2 1/2" x 5 7/8"

1pc - 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - scrap

Soft Suede Card Stock

1pc - 3" x 3"

------------------------------------------------

Fold your piece of Shaded Spruce Card Stock along the score line to create the card base. Adding the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

On the strip on Soft Sea Foam, stamp the smaller turtles - the outline on Soft Sea Foam ink and the shell detail in Shaded Spruce - making sure you alternate the directions of the turtles so it looks random. Add this to the centre of the card front.

Stamp the ribbon/streamers in Soft Sea foam all over the Soft Sea Foam card stock square. Layer this to the Soft Suede card and then wrap around some bakers twine towards the top. Add this to the centre of the card front.

On a scrap of basic white, stamp the larger turtle outline and cut out with the turtle punch. Colour in with a crumb cake blend. Stamp the shell detail in Shaded Spruce, then colour in between the plates with the crumb cake blend and then fussy cut. Add this to the turtle - then add to the card on the square section.

Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of Soft Sea Foam, layer onto shaded spruce and add to the card.

It's a pretty simple design, relying on different layers and heights to create the interest and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I hope you enjoyed it too, please continue through the hop and see what all the other talented ladies have done with this Tic Tac Toe Board. The Lovely Jill Chapman is up next - click the button to head on over....
