Gingham Daisy Aperture Birthday Card

Good Afternoon Everyone,

I hope you are well today, the sunshine seems to have disappeared here in Yorkshire but it's still pleasant. I have the day off work today - I'm waiting in for the carpet fitters! Things are starting to come together now  which is good considering I only have 7 weeks to due date!!!

Anyways, here's my card for today.  I love how fresh and spring like the colours are, in fact it was designed with this weeks Stampin for All challenge in mind. Jill has set us the challenge with the theme 'Spring Flowers'... what do you think???

Measurements:

Highland Heather Cardstock
1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4". scored at 4 1/8"

Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 3 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Scraps for the sentiment and daisy images.

Take the largest circle from the framelits and place onto the gingham gala DSP and I added a little bit of washi to keep it in place (as below), then ran it through the big shot.

Add snail to the back of the DSP and add to the card front, then line up the same framelit into the cut out area as the image below, and then run it through the big shot again.

Place the whisper white panel on the inside the card. On a scrap piece of whisper white stamp out two daisy images and add the centre to one. Punch these out using the daisy punch and gently curl the petals with your bone folder. Layer up the two images and adhere together, making sure you offset the petals to create a full flower and have the daisy with the stamp centre to the top. Close your card and adhere this in the centre of the circle on the whisper white.

Open the card and on the whisper white stamp birthday wishes in Highland Heather above the daisy. Make sure you place it far enough up so that it isn't seen when the card is closed.

On another piece of whisper white stamp the sentiment in Highland Heather ink and punch out using the everyday label punch. I thought the sentiment looked a little lost in al the white, so I popped the
punch out into the trimmer and lined the points edge up with the track and sliced off the excess

Finally, layer this piece on to a full punch out of the everyday label in daffodil delight and stick to the front of the card.

Better Together Quick Birthday Card

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I wanted to show you a quick and simple Birthday card I made.

Measurements:-

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 8" x 4", scored at 4"
1pc - 1 3/4" x 2 3/8"

Designer Series Paper
1pc - 3 7/8" x 3 7/8"

Tranquil Tide Cardstock
1pc - 1 7/8" x 2 1/2"

Take the DSP and rub over with your embossing buddy  this will help to remove any grease and oils from the paper, meaning that the embossing powder should only stick to the stamped area. Add the clear embossing powder and lightly tap off the excess. Using you heat tool, turn the powder to a shiny solid finish. Put to one side to cool.

On a scrap of whisper white stamp the party hat in Tranquil Tide ink and fussy cut out, and add wink of stella, also stamp the sentiment on the small piece of whisper white.

Fold the 8" x 4" piece of thick whisper white in half and burnish along the score line. Add all your layers to the card front and you are finished - I told you it as quick, didn't I?

Here's a list of all the supplies I used today. Click on the images to head over to my online store.

Floral Romance Thin Necklace Gift Box for Mother's Day

Good Morning Everyone,

We have another sunny day on the cards today, but we still have a lot to do around the house... but hoping to get a few hours in the garden this afternoon.

My project for today is a this cute gift both which I made to pretty up the packaging for a necklace gift, I've stamped the sentiment for Mother's Day, but you could switch it up for any occasion required.

Measurements:-

Fresh Fig Cardstock
1pc - 7 1/2" x 7 1/2"
1pc - 2 3/4" x 5 3/4"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 5 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Floral Romance Speciality DSP - Printed Vellum
1pc - 5 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Place your piece of Fresh Fig Cardstock in the Simply Scored and score on 1 side at 1/2", 1" & 7", then rotate 90 degrees and score at 1/2", 3 1/2", 4" & 7".

Snip away at the cardstock to create the shape below:-

Layer up the printed vellum onto to whisper white stock - putting it over a light background really does help the paper seem brighter and bolder. Adhesive can show through vellum so I carefully added snail amounts of snail behind the flower clusters and purple and green areas. Add this to the carstock as shown here:-

Run a piece of tear and tape along the right hand tab you have created. Then using the detailed trio punch round the corners of the top section of cardstock.

Using the 3/4" circle punch, add a small thumb notch to the panelled piece as below:-

Remove the release paper for the tab and fold round to create the box, fold in the sides, back and then adhere the front flap down to make the base.

Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow ink and layer onto a piece of fresh fig then add to the box.

Now take the remaining piece of cardstock and round all four corner. Then at the top, punch in two holes and snip diagonally front he outside to the centres like so :-

This Creates the perfect panel to hold the necklace in place whilst it is inside the box.
