Boughs & Blossoms A Little Hello Greeting Card. Creative Colour Challenges #CCC30

 Good Morning Everyone

I know this is a little late, I usually share my Creative Colour Challenge entry on a Monday when the colours are released but I'll be honest we have had a rough week at home, our beloved Pooch, Tess hasn't been so well, and unfortunately we had to say Goodbye - which has been really tough. Tess was with us for 14 years and a massive part of our lives so it's really knocked us for six, so please do bear with me.

I have however, managed to create a card for this week. It is a simple card, but I love the mix of the colours with these images - an easy card to make for any occasion - you could just switch up the colours and sentiment to suit.

Measurements

Coastal Cabana Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Crushed Curry Card Stock

1pc - 5" x 3 1/8"

Calypso Coral Card Stock

scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 4 7/8 x 3"

scrap

-----------------------------------------------

Fold the Coastal Cabana card stock along the score  line to create a card base. Add the larger piece of basic white to the inside

On the remaining piece of basic white, create a colourful background using the bough and blossoms stamp set in Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry & Calypso Coral. Layer this to the Crushed Curry card stock and add to the centre of the card front.

On a scrap of basic white stamp the sentiments in Crushed Curry and cut out with the tailored tag punch. Also cut a shape in Calypso coral card stock. Cut this piece in half diagonally like this

The add behind the sentiment piece, making sure you get a nice trim on the two opposite ends.

Add this piece to your card with dimensionals.

Finally add a few of the iridescent rhinestones to add a little bit of bling.

Here's a list of supplies I used in today's project, click on the images to head over to my online store. The stamp set and punch are both retiring at the end of this month, so be sure to grab them whilst you can.

Artfully Composed Daisy Birthday Card, InspireINK Sketch Challenge Blog Hop. March 2022

 Good Morning Everyone

I'm blog hopping with the fabulous InspireINK ladies today, and this month we have a sketch to follow.

I love sketches, they can help you create a card in no time, and really help kick start you mojo if it's failing you!!

The Artfully Composed DSP is so pretty, and I have some scraps so I thought it was ideal for this card. The Daisy looks sweet and softens those bolder tones.

Here's the sketch layout that Heather has chosen for us all to follow. I tweaked it slightly and most of the pieces were just pulled from my scraps pile, but I used the basic principle and design and I'm really happy with how it turned out

Measurements

Pear Pizzazz Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

1pc - scrap

Pale Papaya Card Stock

scrap

Artfully Composed DSP
1pc - 4" x 5 3/4"

1pc = 5 1/2" x 2"

1pc - 3"x 3"

1pc - 2 1/4" x 2 1/4"

1pc - 1 12" x 1 1/2"

-----------------------------------------

Take the Pear Pizzazz card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, add the basic white piece to the inside.

Add the larger piece of DSP to the card front and then arrange the remaining pieces of DSP as per the card above. I played around withe the layout ever so slightly to make the pieces i already had fit.

Cut out two of the flowers from the Daisy punch and sponge the edges. Lay them on top of one another and offset to create a full flower. Add some wink of stella to the edges of the petals, where you have sponged. Place some of the classic matte gems to the centre of the flower head.

Stamp the sentiment onto a scrap of basic white and then using the tailored tag punch banner tail either end.

Place onto the card along with the Daisy, making sure the daisy shape doesn't cover any of the wording.

Finally add some wink of stella to some of the leaves on the DSP.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today, Please take a look at the list below and continue through the hop for lots more inspiration using this sketch layout.

Sentimental Swirls Happy Birthday Joy Fold Card. Creative Colour Challenges #CCC29

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Monday - I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and are ready for a great week ahead.

As It's Monday, I wanted to share with you the card I have made for this week's Creative Colour Challenges Combo.I actually really love this combination - I just knew I wanted to do a card with a soft background of the Gray Granite and Soft Sea Foam, adding a pop of colour with the Mango Melody - So the Sentimental Swirls stamp set seemed like an obvious choice. What do you think?

Measurements

Gray Granite Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 8 7/8", scored at 3" on the long side

1pc - 7 1/2" x 3", scored at 3 3/4" on the long side

Soft Sea Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 3/4" x 3 1/2"

scrap

Mango Melody Card Stock

scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"

1pc - 2 1/2" x 3 1/4"

1pc - 2 3/8" x 3 5/8"

1pc - 2 3/4" x 3 1/2"

---------------------------------------

On the 3 5/8" x 5 3/8" & 2 3/8" x 3 5/8" piece of Basic White, stamp the swirls in Gray Granite all over then add some of the leaves. Layer these to the coordinating Soft Sea Foam Mats.

Take the larger piece of Gray Granite  card stock and place it in front of you with the fold to the left. Add the largest stamped panel to the inside, and the second largest to the smaller card front flap you created.

On one of the remaining piece of Basic White Card Stock, stamp the Swirl in Gray Granite towards the lower left, and add the Happy Birthday sentiment to the top right hand corner. Layer this to the coordinating Soft Sea Foam mat

Bring in the smaller piece of Gray Granite card stock and hold that so the fold is on the right. Add the last of the stamped panels to the front and the remaining plain piece of basic white to the inside.

Add this smaller 'card', with the fold to the right to the centre of the large stamped piece on the inside of the card. Then fold in the small front Flap, then close to last Flap over that.

Stamp the some of the large and smaller Flowers in Gray Granite onto Mango Melody card stock and cut out using the coordinating punches - Strawberry Builder punch for the smaller flower and the Flowers & Leaves punch for the larger one. Gently tease up the edges to add a little dimension and add a rhinestone to the centre of each.

On a scrap of Soft Sea Foam card stock stamp the bird in Gray Granite ink and then fussy cut.

Arrange to flowers and the bird onto the top panel with mini dimenisonals.

This is what the card should look like if laid flat, hopefully you can see how the pieces lay and slot together.

I hope you have enjoyed today's card. If you want more information on Creative Colour Challenges or fancy giving this week's combo a go head on over to my blog
