Herringbone Masculine Happy Birthday Card. Scrapbusting for Creative Colour Challenges #CCC4

 Good Morning Everyone,

Hope you have had an amazing weekend, we have had a pretty busy one but it's been so nice to spend a lot of time with the family!

Today we have a brand new Colour Combination over on Creative Colour Challenges and it's awesome. This is the card I made for it. I definitely found it a struggle at first to decide what I was to do because I felt it was a rather random mixture of colours, but someone commented on a herringbone style card I made a few weeks ago and I thought that design could possibly work, and guess what? I LOVE IT. This is so simple and easy to make and this colour way is perfect for a masculine card.

Measurements

Thick Basic White Cardstock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" scored at 4 1/8"

Basic White Card STock

1pc - 2 1/4" x 5 3/4"

Selection of strips that measure 1/2" x 1 1/2" of Mossy Meadow, Early Espresso and Real Red

--------------------------

Take the smaller piece of basic white and mark the centre point. Put the corner of a strip of card stock over the dot, and the corner on the same side so it lines up with the edge of the white.

Now take another strip and adhere it in the opposite direction at the top of the first strip and continue to fill the card Stock base. Like this...

Once dry trim off all the overhanging strips so its all nice and flush with  the basic white mat.

Fold the thick basic white card stock along the score line, then stamp the two sentiments towards the top of the card front and adhere the card stock panel across the bottom.

Here's a list of the supplies I used in today's card. Click on the images to head over to my online store. Product List
