Garden Birdhouses Beauty of the Earth Birthday Card. Crafty Collaborations Sketch Challenge Blog Hop. October 2021

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm Blog Hopping with the amazing Crafty Collaborators and we are all following a sketch layout.

I love sketch layouts because they can help guide you but as only provides a basic design you can really go to town with how you interpret it.

I've stayed pretty close the the original sketch as I loved the format and thought that it worked well.

So, here's the original sketch and you can see that I've pretty much kept all the elements the same, only negating the thin banner strip for the sentiment.

Measurements

Old Olive Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Beauty of the Earth DSP

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 3 1/4" x 2 1/4"

1pc - 5 5/8" x 1 1/4"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/4" x 3"

Take the Old Olive Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the lager piece of Basic White to the inside.

Add the woodgrain patterned DSP to the card front. The add the thinner blue strip across the middle.

On the smaller piece of basic white stamp the birdhouse scene add this to the card front on top of the remaining piece of DSP and offset them at an angle.

Stamp the Birthday Wishes sentiment onto the wood grain DSP and the other sentiment onto the strip of blue.

Super Quick and easy card and just a really nice card that you can literally give to anyone!
