Color & Contour Charing Sentiments Happy Birthday Card. Craft This Way Crazy Challenge Insta Hop.

 Good Evening Everyone,

Today I hopped with the Craft This Way Group over on Instagram. They run two challenges per month -  a random DSP and Stamp set to use on one project, then this one and more generic challenge, this month we had a colour Challenge.

I love the mix of Early Espresso, Fresh Freesia & Daffodil Delight, I've used the Color & Contour Stamp set for my flowers and the Charming Sentiments Stamp set for the Birthday Wishes.

What do you think?

Measurements

Early Espresso Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - 2 1/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 1" x 3 1/2"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 7/8" x 3 1/4"

--------------------------------------------------

Take the larger piece of Early Espresso Card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.

Ink up the larger flower head outline image in Early Espresso ink and cover the remaining large piece of Basic White. Fill in the outline image using the solid image stamps - Fresh Freesia for the petals and Daffodil Delight for the centres.

On the last piece of Basic White stamp the flower and stem image into the centre with Early Espresso ink and then add some Fresh Freesia to the flower heads and Early Espresso to the leaves. I did want a saturated colour so I used my blender pens. Tap the edge of a pen into the corner of the ink pad very gently the add colour to your image.

Layer this panel to the coordinating sized Early Espresso Card Stock and add to the floral panel about 1/2" from the left.

Using your blending brush and Daffodil Delight ink pad, add a light covering of ink on the bottom of the panel.

Add this to the card front.

On the last piece of Basic white stamp the sentiment then layer to the last piece of Early Espresso and then add some ink with the blending brush as above. Place onto the card towards the right and stick with dimensionals.

Finally colour in three pearls with your Daffodil Delight Stampin Blends and the add to the card.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - why not take a few minutes to check out what everyone else created with these colours - My Instagram Post

Creative Colour Challenges - #125

 Good Evening Everyone,

As you may or may not know - I run the Creative Colour Challenges blog. Each week three Stampin Up Colours are randomly selected and I ask you to create a projects using those colours! Some week's are easier than others - but what I do find is that there's a lot of inspiration given from those who participate, so I thought that on a Sunday, once I have announced the Winner of the Week's Challenge over on Creative Colour Challenges Blog, I'd hop on over here and share the entries with you in the hope that we can give everyone some more inspiration, and I will link to those I can (as anyone can enter, you don't have to have a blog or a website), so It's also my chance to share there work and show some support.

I do hope to continue this as long as possible, with the entry numbers as they are now, this is something I'm happy to work on, but if by some amazing force,  the numbers grow in strength I may have to reassess how I do this!

Heartfelt Hexagon Enchanted Butterfly Sending lots of Hugs Card. Creative Colour Challenges #125

 Good Morning Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in Creative Colour Challenges #125 and it's a bright and bold mix this week. I love the mix of these three current In Colors and I will be sure to miss them when they retire at the end of this catalogue I've loved using them.

I thought i'd use the flower image from Enchanted Butterfly as that's a lovely bold shape adding a sentiment from Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set.

What do you think?

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - 2 7/8" x 2 3/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 3/4" x 2 1/4"

1pc - scrap

--------------------------------------------------------

Take the Basic Black card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding one of the Basic White pieces to the inside.

Ink up the outline flower image and stamp to fill the remaining piece of Basic White, alternating all three colours. The clean off your stamp and flip it over so you can use the flat side as a solid in fill stamp. Genius - right?

Once that's done, add the panel to the card front.

Take the circle of dots image and cover the smaller piece of Basic White. I used second generations stamping (stamped off once) to get a slightly lighter tone. Then take the smaller square detail image and  stamp into all four corners in sweet sorbet ink, again using second generation stamping.

Layer this panel to the Basic Black card and pop into the centre of the card front with dimensionals.

Colour in four large rhinestones with your Sweet Sorbet Stampin Blends and add to the centres of the four corner images.

Using the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set a scrap stamp the border image in Orchid Oasis, adding the sentiment to the centre Sweet Sorbet. Cut out using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and add to the centre of the card, on the raised central panel.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I absolutely loved playing around with this combination. If you would like more details on how the challenge works, want more inspiration on this colour combo or have a project to enter - pop on over to Creative Colour Challenges
