Graceful Tiles Emboss Resist Birthday Card. Creative Colour Challenges - #CCC65

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

As it's Monday, it's time to share the brand new colour combo over on Creative Colour Challenges, and as always my project today uses this combination.

I decided to revisit the Emboss Resist technique, and along with the Graceful tiles stamp set, I've created a lovely birthday card.

Measurements

Pacific Point Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Petal Pink Card Stock

-----------------------------------

Take the Pacific point card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, add one of the basic white panels to the inside.

On the remaining piece of Basic white stamp the two images in versamark ink, covering to whole piece. Sprinkle with a good layer of clear embossing powder, gently tap off the excess and then set with your heat tool. Leave to cool completely.

Once the panel is nice and cool, use your blending brushes, sponges or daubers to apply ink to the card. Add Pacific Point and Coastal cabana, starting with one at either end and blending then to meet roughly in the centre. The Key here is to start light and build your colour, you may have to spend a bit of time swapping between colours and building up depth, but it really is the best way to get that seamless blend.

When you are happy with your coverage, take a dry piece of Kitchen Roll or a paper towel and gently wipe over the panel, lifting up and of the ink that is sitting on the embossed areas, again take your time and make sure that you have lifted it all. The more that is removed the clearer and whiter your images are, so it's best to get off as much as possibly - which isn't too difficult as the ink won't dry into those areas.

Colour in a few lengths of white bakers twine with your Pearl Pink Stampin Blends and then wrap them around you front o this piece focusing around the centre. Once happy add dimensionals to the back of the whole piece and place onto your card front.

On a scrap of basic white stamp the semicircular image  in Petal Pink twice and fussy cut. Also stamp the sentiment in coastal cabana and trim. Add this to some petal pink card stock and trim so that it shows at either side but not at the top and bottom.

Arrange the sentiment and the flourishes in the centre of the card front

Fitting Florets Birthday Gift Box. Stampin Birds Showcase Blog Hop. November 2022

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Saturday Everyone!

Today i'm blog hopping with my team mates and good friends - The Stampin Birds! Every month we do a little hop to showcase a project we have been creating using our Stampin Up Supplies.

I have created a fabulous gift box which measures 4" x 3" x 2", decorated simply with products from the Fitting Florets Suite - I honestly cannot put this down, as regular follows will notice haha!

Measurements

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 9" x 11"

Fitting Florets DSP

2pc - 2 7/8" x 3 7/8"

2pc - 3 7/8" x 1 7/8"

1pc - 2 7/8" x 1 7

1pc - fussy cut flower cluster

-----------------------------------

Take the Basic White and score as follows:-

Long Side - 3", 5", 8" & 10"

Short Side - 1", 3" & 7"

Fold and burnish the score lines. Now cut away at the card until you are left with a shape like this.

Add the  DSP panels across the centre.  The smallest piece goes onto the lid, so if you have a directional pattern make sure you put in onto the card 'upside down' when you look at the card stock like it sits above.

Take the Label Me Pretty punch and use it to create a small thumb notch, which will help the lid open and close easier. On the third panel along (to only DSP piece with no card stock above) and pop the edge into the punch, only slighty and cut - see below

Pop some tear and tape onto the tab on the right hand side, then fold round to attach to the opposite edge. At the bottom fold in the two side, back and then adhere down the front to create a solid base.

On a scrap of basic white stamp the Sentiment in Night of Navy then cut out using the Lasting label punch, making sure the sentiment is towards the right hand side.

Add the sentiment and the fussy cut flower cluster to the front of your box.

I hope you have enjoyed my project today, please take a look at the rest of the projects in the hop, starting with Karen - click next to see what she has created today
