Lovely & Lasting Let's Celebrate Greeting Card. Creative Colour Challenges #CCC44

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend - we have been doing the odd jobs around the house in and among occupying two small kiddies with walks to the Park, Ice Creams and a Climbing Wall! So it's been a nice mix, plus I was lucky enough to get some solid hours in the craft room to get my crafting itch under control! haha

So, as you all may have guessed by now - Monday is the day that a brand new colour combination is released over on Creative Colour Challenges, so it's the day I share my sample for it with you.

I absolutely love this weeks combo and I cannot wait to see what everyone else creates this week. I had so much fun with this card - there's a mix of a few stamp sets, some gold embossing all tied together using this amazing combo!!

Measurements

Basic Gray Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Pool Party Card Stock

1pc - 3 1/4" x 4 1/2"

1pc - scrap

Sweet Sorbet Card Stock

1pc - 3" x 4 1/4"

1pc - scrap

----------------------------------

Take the Basic Gray Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base.

Ink up the small tile stamp from Lovely & Lasting in Basic Gray ink and add two rows in opposite corners of the card front. Then with two of the images from Graceful Tiles fill in to centre section with some more detail.

Now, take the small tile stamp again, but this time ink up in Sweet Sorbet ink and cover the piece of Sweet Sorbet card stock. Ink the edges slightly.

Once this piece is completely dry, stamp the large flower image in Versmark in the centre. Sprinkle with Gold embossing powder and heat set. Once cooled. Layer to the Pool Party Card stock and add to the card front, slightly towards the top - so you have room for the sentiment below.

For the sentiment - stamp the wording from Simply Fabulous in Versamark ink and repeat the heat embossing process again with the Gold powder. Trim and layer to a mat of Pool Party. Place this on the card front under the image.

I hope you like today's card. If you would like more details on how the Challenge works, or would like to enter a project yourself - please do head over to my blog Creative Colour Challenges.

Treasured Kindness Good Friends Greeting Card. Share it on a Sunday Masking Technique

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Sunday - Today we have Share it on a Sunday Projects for you and the theme is Masking!

I absolutely love this technique and it has so much scope to create some beautiful projects. But I kept my Masking simple and used the technique to create a scene using the Treasured Kindness stamp set and this beautiful Tree. Masking this way helps you create depth and real look imagery on a flat surface.

Measurements

Early Espresso Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 3 1/8" x 4 5/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

1pc - 3" x 4 1/2"

Subtles DSP Pack

Pear Pizzazz

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

---------------------------------

Take you larger piece of Early Espresso card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the DSP to the front and the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

On the remaining piece of Basic white stamp the sentiment towards the bottom of the card stock in the centre.

Above this add the tree, slightly towards the right hand side. This stamp set gives you a solid image and a detailed image to really bring your stamping to life.Use a darker colour for the detail, and a lighter colour for the solid image. I used Early Espresso and Crumb Cake for the Tree trunk and Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen for the leaves.

Now on a post it note (over as much 'sticky' as you can) or masking paper stamp the leaves again and then fussy cut, keeping very close to the stamped image.

Add the Post it Note directly on top of the leaves on the tree

Ink up the Sun image in Mango Melody ink and stamp right onto the basic white card, covering some of the leaves you covered.

Now gently peel away the post it note and It looks as if the sun is behind the tree!

Repeat this masking process with the tree trunk, then ink up the wavy semi circle image and stamp over the base of the tree. This will make it look as if the tree is grounded on some grass.

Pretty Medallions Heat Embossed Happy Birthday Strip Card

 Good Evening Everyone

This evening I'm blog hopping with the fabulous Stamping with Friends ladies and we are all making Strip Cards.

These can be very simple, but I feel I kinda went OTT with my card, but I think it was totally worth it!

I opted for lovely rich colours and some bold white heat embossing, what do you think?

Measurements

Cajun Craze Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - 4" x 5 3/4"

1pc - 2" x 4"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - scrap

Daffodil Delight Card Stock

1pc - 4" x 1 1/4"

Pumpkin Pie Card Stock

1pc - 4" x 1 1/4"

Mango Melody Card Stock

1pc - 4" x 1 1/4"

-------------------------------------

Take the larger piece of Cajun Craze Card Stock and fold along the score line. Add the larger piece of Basic White to the inside.

Now, glue down the three strips of card stock onto the 4" x 5 3/4" towards the left. On the right side add the 2" wide piece of Cajun Craze. Trim off all the edges to make them all flush with the card stock below. Also, be sure to butt the pieces up as close as you can so you have no gaps.

Once this piece is completely dry, stamp the Medallion image in Versamark ink and heat set with White embossing powder. Once that has cooled, take the corner of your versamark ink pad a even so lightly, tap the edge to the Cajun Craze section on the card. Sprinkle with white emboss powder and tap off as much as you can - you want this to be soft brush stokes like, not huge solid blocks. Heat set these areas.

I found that I didn't like how stark the white looked, so I very very lightly added some Cajun Craze ink over that left hand section, using a dry paper towel to wipe away the excess ink. I found this just softened the embossing ever so slightly.

Add this panel to your card front.

On a scrap of Basic White stamp the sentiment - I used two sentiments from Pansy Patch and joined them together. Trim down, layer onto Cajun Craze card stock and add to the card front with dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today. Please take a look at the list below and continue through the hop - There will be absolutely tonnes of Inspiration for you.
