Hues of Happiness For You Friend Lidded Gift Box. 3D Thrusday

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Thursday! I hope you are all having a great week so far! It's been hard getting back into our normal routine after a 2 week holiday - but it's nearly the weekend, so that's all good!

Today I'm taking part in our little 3D Thursday Mini Hop with Donna & Karen.

I sat and created this lovely lidded gift box and decorated it with the Hues of Happiness DSP. This box measure 4" x 3 1/4" x 1 1/2", so it is a great size to fit all sorts of goodies in, It would also fit some 3x3" note cards and envelopes - which would make a lovely gift.

Measurements

Orchid Oasis Card Stock

Box
1pc - 10 1/2"x 5 1/2"

Lid
1pc - 6 1/4" x 4 1/2"

scrap for the sentiment

Hues of Happiness DSP

Box
2pc - 3 7/8" x 3 1/8"
2pc - 3 7/8" x 1 3/8"

Lid
2pc - 1 3/8" x 1 3/8"
3pc -  1 3/8" x 3 1/8"

----------------------------------

Take the piece of card stock for the Box and score as follows:-
Long Side - 1", 4 1/4", 5 3/4" & 9"
Short Side - 4"

Fold and Burnish all the score lines well with a bone folder. Then take your snips and cut up all the score lines along the bottom, notching into the square sections to create Tabs. Also remove the very Thinner rectangle in the lower left completely and notch in to that 1" wide rectangle to the left.

Add the DSP for the Box. I cut my DSP to the Box so that the design continued through the panels. If you want to do this too - first cut the height of DSP to 3 7/8", then cut a small piece, large piece, small piece and finally another larger. This will get you that follow round of the design.

Add Tear and Tab to the thin tab (the only tall section without DSP and the fold round and adhere to the back of the opposite end. Now fold in the sides, back and front adhering down each stage to create the box base.

For the Lid, take the Card Stock and score at 1 1/2" on all four sides, placing the card ever so slightly away from being flush to your simple scored on the left. This will help give the box lid a better fit.

Fold and burnish all the score lines and then cut into all the square sections on the corners to create tabs.

Add the DSP pieces to the card to like so...

Pop some tear and tab on these tabs and bring then in to create the lid. Put the lid onto the top of the box. You need to make sure that you have glue down your DSP well on the box and right to the corners so that it doesnt catch when taking the lid on and off.

Finally stamp the Friend from Happiness Abounds and add the For you just above from simply fabulous  both in Orchid Oasis ink onto Orchid Oasis card. Trim down and slight angle the edges, just to give a little extra interest.

Thanks so much for taking a look at my project, I hope you will give it a go! Please take a look at the links below and head over to see what Donna & Karen have both made today.

Potted Geraniums Here for You Greeting Card. Creative Colour Challenges #CCC43

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Monday, I hope you have all had a great weekend and Monday isn't kicking you too hard right now!

As it's Monday, I wanted to share the brand new combo for this week over on Creative Colour Challenges. I really like this mix of colours and thought the Potted Geraniums stamp set would be perfect to showcase them. This is such a pretty set, and those sentiment are so sweet, kind and thoughtful - definitely a set that should be in your stash!

Measurements

Soft Suede Card Stock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 5 5/8" x 2 7/8"

Old Olive Card Stock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Blushing Bride Card Stock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 3/8"

------------------------------------------------

Take the soft suede card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the larger piece of Basic White to the inside of the card.

On the thinner strip of Basic White stamp the images to build up your geranium image. I used 1st and 2nd (stamping off) to create two shades of each colour so I was able to get the detail on the images.

Ink up the sentiments and add then to the top of the card.

Layer this to the Blushing Bride and then the Old Olive and then pop onto the card front.

It's a really simple card, but the gorgeous detail in the Geranium stamp creates fabulous imagery and the sentiment is so sweet.

Pretty Medallion & Graceful Tiles Happy Anniversary Card. Crafty Collaborations Share it Sunday Blog Hop June 2022

  Good Afternoon Everyone,

Hope you are having a fabulous Sunday? We have had a bitty day today of household jobs and doing things with the girls in the Garden. After having Dave off work for two weeks, tomorrow see's his return to the office and I'm really Sad about that! We have the best holiday, one week away in Scarborough and then a week at home with a few Day trips thrown in. Hoping my lotto number come up so we can do it always!! haha.

But I digress, on to today's Project. It's the last Sunday of the month so that means its Crafty Collaborations Share it Sunday - no theme, just showcase something you have made! So, I wanted to share this pretty card I made using the Pretty Medallions Background Stamp. It is DIVINE. Anyone who knows me knows I love to colour and this was a 'straight to cart' stamp set for sure! And to be honest so was the Graceful Tiles stamp set where the sentiment comes from.

Measurements

Basic Black Card Stock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"
1pc - 3" x 5 7/8"
1pc - scrap for the sentiment

Basic White Card Stock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 3" x 5 7/8" approx
-------------------------------------------

Take the larger piece of Basic Black card stock and fold along the score line to create a tent fold card. Add the Basic White card stock to the inside.

On the 3" wide piece of Basic White, stamp the Medallion image in Memento ink. The stamp is much larger than your strip, so make sure that you have something underneath to protect your surfaces from the ink and try to get it as central as you can.

Once fully dry colour with your Stampin Blends - I chose to go bright and bold, but depending on your recipient you really can tailor this to whomever is to receive it.

Now fussy cut around the top and bottom edges so you keep the 3" width. Add this piece to the Basic Black strip and make sure its line up and central. You may need to trim off a tiny stray edge but it should fit perfectly with the width.

On the strip of Basic Black stamp the sentiment from Graceful Tiles in versamark ink and cover with white embossing powder. Heat set and trim so that you can adhere to the medallion and have it sit flush with the 3" edge.

Add this whole panel to the centre card front with Black Stampin Dimensionals. This shows the lift and gives dimension, but with them being black they blend in with the card.

I really hope you have enjoyed today's card. The design is simple and you could switch up the sentiment so this could be given for all sorts of occasions. Please take a look at the list below and continue through the hop for some more amazing paper crafting inspiration
