Ahoy There Matey! Happy Birthday Flip Front Fold Card. Stampin Birds Showcase Blog Hop

 Good Morning Everyone,

It's the last Saturday of the month, so that means we have our Stampin Birds Showcase Blog Hop. As usual we don't have a particular theme - we are just showing off some of our wonderful projects!

I've used the Pirates & Mermaid stamp set and a fab Flip Front Fold to create this very different Birthday card I'll be sending out too my friends little boy on his birthday!

Funnily, I'd asked Karen & Donna in our little chat group what the name of this fold along with a very poor description followed by an equally poor quick mock up. I knew what I wanted to do - just couldn't find it, then on the day I sat down to work it - so thank you Donna, I took your measurements hehe...

Measurements

Smoky Slate Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 5 3/4"

1pc - 8 1/4" x 3", scored at 4 1/8"

Brights 6x6" DSP Pack

Pacific Point

2pc - 3 7/8" x 1 1/4"

1pc - 3 7/8" x 2 3/4"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 2 3/4"

Take the larger piece of Smoky slate and the two this strips of DSP. Add the DSP to either short end making sure you are evenly spaced, like so...

Now take the other piece of Smoky Slate and fold along the score line, burnish well so you have a really nice crisp fold. Add the remaining piece onto the front, and the basic white piece to the inside.

Add glue to the back of this piece and add it to the other piece of making sure that the fold is towards the top and it's all lined up evenly and straight in between the two piece of DSP.

On some scraps of basic white, stamp a pirate and the sentiments in versamark, and 6 treasure chests in early espresso ink.

Colour these in with a selection of blends and then fussy cut. Add three chests to thin strips of DSP, and on the Flip panel, add the sentiments and the Pirate.

Expressions in Ink Happy Birthday Card. Scrapbusting Challenge

Good Morning Everyone,

Woo Hoo - It's Friday Folks. Hope this week has been good to you and you all have some wonderful plans for the weekend?

Today I'm doing a little scrap busting and I wanted to share this card with you. It takes such a small amount of product - but because the DSP is so amazing, it really does pack a punch!

Measurements

Evening Evergreen Cardstock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Cardstock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 1" x 3 1/4"

Pale Papaya Cardstock

4pc - 1 3/4" x 1 3/4"

1pc - 1 1/4" x 3 1/2"

Polished Pink Cardstock

4pc - 1 5/8" x 1 5/8"

1pc - 1 1/8" x 3 3/8"

Expressions in ink DSP

4pc - 1 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Take the Evening Evergreen card stock and fold along the score line to create the card base. Add the large basic white panel to the inside.

Round two opposite corners on all the pieces of DSP, the top right and the bottom left. This is key if the DSP is is directional. Also pay attention if your DSP creates a picture like mine.

Round the same corners on the square card stock pieces and layer these all together DSP, Polished Pink and then Pale Papaya.

On the this strip of basic white stamp the sentiment into the centre, round the corners along with the card stock, layer and add this along with the squares to the card front.

Colour in a couple of the larger pearls with the ivory blends. This just softens the colours slightly. Add these to the sentiment banner.

Hand Penned Thank You for all the Little Things Double Z Fold Card.

  Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Thursday! I hope you are all well. Today I have a fab card to share with you. Now you will look at the list of supplies below and the sizing and kind of think, what that a lot - but I managed to make this with a lot from my scrap pile, and once you have everything cut everything come together really quickly.

I have taken the measurements from my friend Karen of Crafty Karen Designs who is the absolute Queen of Fancy Folds. She did an Epic series on all sorts of fold - what she doesn't know isn't worth knowing haha!!

Anyway, back to my card.....

Measurements

Misty Moonlight Card Stock

1pc - 11" x 4 3/4" - scored at 2 3/4" & 5 1/2"

1pc - 10" x 2 3/4" - scored at 4 3/4" & 7 1/2"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 1/2" x 4"

1pc - 3" x 1 1/2"

Hand Penned DSP

1pc - 5 1/4" x 4"

2pc - 2 1/2" x 4"

1pc - 4 1/2" x 2 1/2"

1pc - 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

1pc - 2 1/2" x 2 1/4"

Fold and burnish both pieces of Misty Moonlight card stock, making sure you create a Z shape ( fold in half and then back on itself).

Now add all the DSP  and white card to the bases. Put the basic white onto the back of the card, and then you will find that all the rest just fit in one place so it's pretty easy to find their homes. Stamp the sentiment onto the smallest piece of Basic White., adding this piece to the larger panel on the smaller piece of card stock

Adhere the smaller z fold to the larger one, the larger piece has the bigger back panel to the right, the smaller piece leads with the larger panel. Add liquid glue to the back of the smallest panel on the small z fold piece and adhere to the centre of the larger back panel.

Now, fold all the pieces down, don't worry some to the edges will overlap - then add adhesive to the front piece of the smaller z, making sure you only add adhesive to the section that will be stuck to the other piece, otherwise you will just make a mess and stick it all closed!!

A Happy Hello Bloom where You're Planted Greeting Card

 Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Hump Day! I hope you are all well. Today I have a super quick and easy card for you. Its full of pretty DSP and some fussy cutting and punching. So it's really a collection of odds and sods of bits - I'm using quite a few elements from different places.

Measurements

Cajun Craze Cardstock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4",scored at 5 7/8"

scraps

Just Jade Cardstock

scraps

Basic White Cardstock

1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"

First, stamp the sentiment from the Sunny Sentiments stamp set in Cajun Craze into the top left of the DSP.

Take the Cajun Craze card stock and fold along the scoreline. add the DSP layer to the card front and the basic white panel to the inside.

Cut a selection of plants from the DSP and add these along the bottom of the DSP panel with both dimensionals and liquid glue to give different heights. I also cut some leaves from Just Jade card stock with the symmetrical border punch,

Stamp the Dragonfly in Cajun Craze ink onto a scrap of the DSP which looks a little like stone. Cut the out with the dragonfly punch, and also cut out three of the smaller dragonflies in cajun craze card stock.

Add the dragonflies to the card front, The larger with dimensionals and the smaller ones with just liquid glue.
