Celebrate with Flowers Heat Embossed Birthday Card. Crafty Collaborations Technique Tuesday Blog Hop.

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

I'm taking part in the Crafty Collaborations Technique Tuesday Blog hop and this month it's all about heat embossing. It's one of my absolute fave techniques and I thought I'd show two heat embossed options. Ive done the basic heat embossing with versmark and powder and I'll also show you how to get coloured embossing by using products you will already have!

Measurements

Evening Evergreen card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

Fresh Freesia Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Vellum Card Stock

1pc - 8 1/4" x 4 1/4"

--------------------------------------

Take the Evening Evergreen card stock and Fold along the score line to create your card base and add the basic white to the inside.

Stamp the leaf image in 2nd generation (stamped off once) fresh freesia onto the fresh Freesia card Stock.

Take the happy Birthday sentiment and ink up in versamark ink and stamp into the centre of the vellum. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and gently tap off the excess. Heat set with your heat tool.

Now ink up the tall stem and leaves image in soft Succulent ink and stamp to the side of the sentiment. Repeat the process above with clear embossing powder and then do the same on the opposite time. Try to keep moving your heat tool as much as possible as you want to avoid the vellum bowjng and curling otherwise it wont sit flat on your card.

The soft Succulent ink sits on top of the vellum, unlike standard card stock, but you still need to work quickly to make sure you get the whole image covered well. The ink will hold the powder and then set with the heating process.

Take the vellum and wrap it around the fresh fressia card. Make sure it is pulled tight and burnish well. Secure down in the back with a bit of tape.

Wrap a length of the open weave ribbon round the bottom of the vellum and again secure on the back. Tie a bow separately in the same ribbon and attach to the ribbon below the sentiment.

Add this panel to the evening Evergreen card base.

Finally stamp four flower heads in fresh Freesia onto the same colour card and fussy cut. Add two to each stem, making one 'peep' out behind the front piece.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and will have a go at these ways of embossing. Please take a look at the list below and continue through for more inspiration for hest embossing
