I hope you had a fantastic weekend.. I sure did. I got to craft loads, spend time in the garden and watch England thrash Panama.
My card today is for the weekly challenge over on cotswoldcrafter.blogspot.co.uk. This challenge was Tic Tac Toe, now I had no idea what this meant so I had to have it explained to me. You are given a grid with various options - colour, shapes, finishes etc. I chose Floral, Yellow & Metallic.
Cut a piece of tranquil tide cardstock to 5 5/8" x 3 7/8, rub over your embossing buddy and then stamp the small flower in versamark to cover the piece. Sprinkle with gold embossing powder and heat set. You will know when this is finished when the powder has melted and turned into shiny metallic images. Position the largest circle from the stitched shapes framelits onto the card and run through the big shot.
Take a piece of pineapple punch and create your card base, and adhere you tranquil tide layer to it. Using the same circle framelit, place this over the circle you already created. Run the whole piece through the big shot and you will have created your aperture.
Using some scraps, stamp out the daisy image twice on Pineapple Punch, cut out using the daisy punch and curl the petals with a bone folder. Adhere the two images together, making sure you offset the petals get a fuller flower. Add a clear facted c=gem to the centre.
Add a piece of whisper white to the inside of the card. close the card and then add the daisy to the centre of the circle.
Stamp your Happy Birthday sentiment onto whisper white and layer onto pineapple punch cardstock, add this to the bottom of the card and we're done!!

I love any card which has the Daisy punch in it; I think this has got to be my all time favourite punch. It is so versatile. Love the metallic little flowers embossed on the front of the card - these just make the card design complete. :O)
ReplyDeleteThanks Lorraine, I must admit - I love the daisy delight stamp set and punch also... although I think the pop of petals my knock it off the top spot!!
