Yesterday I took a delivery of yet more new catalogues, so I managed to get them all packed up and ready to post today... so most of my evening was taken up by that but I did manage to squeeze it a little bit of card making, here's what I came up with
Now, as you know I love a super speedy card and using just one stamp set and a limited colour choices, I managed to create this card in very little time, but it doesn't look thrown together, and I'm sure the recipient would appreciate the detail that has gone into it.
MEASUREMENTS
Berry Burst Cardstock
1pc - 5 7/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 4 5/8" and 9 1/4"
Whisper White Cardstock
2pcs - 2 1/8" x 5 5/8"
3pcs - 4 3/8" x 5 5/8"
Scrap for the Sentiment
Soft Suede Cardstock
scrap for the sentiment mat.
Bring in your Big Shot and using your scraps and the stitched shape framelits, cut out the largest oval in soft suede and the second largest in whisper white. set these to one side whilst you create your own DSP Panels.
Take two sentiments from the Perennial birthday stamp set and add these two of the large whisper white panels in soft suede ink. Choose which one will be your centre panel, sponge the edges in berry burst. Using the large floral image, cover the remainder of the whisper white pieces to create a gorgeous background and then sponge all the edges. Whilst you have the inks to hand, stamp a Happy Birthday from the same set in soft suede onto the whisper white oval. Add a few floral images to fill in a little of the white space.
Now it's time to assemble.
Taking the berry burst fold from the first score line into the centre, the fold the second score line into the centre also, creating a flap. Make sure you fold and burnish well with your bone folder to get crisp firm folds. Add all the panels with snail to the appropriate fitting spaces on the card, you need a large plain panel to the front, along with a skinny piece on the flap. On the inside add you sentiment only panel to the centre and them add the final two pieces.
Add dimenisonals to the whisper white oval and centre onto the soft suede. Close the card base up and place the sentiment in the centre of the card, add dimensionals to the back of the oval, but only on the right hand side on the flap, otherwise you will stick it shut.

I l love it Vickie, especially the stamp set you have chosen as this is one of my favourite floral images. You are so right that great cards don't always have to take an age to create. :O)
