Icing on the Cake Anniversary Card using Stampin Up Products

Hello Again Everyone,

Two posts from me today, so don't forget to check out the GIVEAWAY I have already posted this morning!!

As It's my Stampin Up 1 year Anniversary I thought I would create a card to celebrate it.

I made this Anniversary Card as I thought it was apt for the occasion and I love the combination of Powder Pink and Mint Macaron so this was perfect...

Measurements:-

Mint Macaron
1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4"

Powder Pink
1pc - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"

Whisper White
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 1 1/2" x 3"
1pc - 1 1/2" x 2 1/2"
1pc - 1" x 2 1/4"
Scraps for the flowers and icing.

Take the piece of Mint Macaron and create your card base, layer the 5 5/78" x 3 7/8" piece to the inside of the card, and once you have sponged the edges of the powder pink piece, add this to the front.

On the remaining rectangles of whisper white stamp the swirly icing across the length in Powder Pink ink. On a piece of scrap stamp the dots of icing in mint macaron. You will need to join up the lines as the strip will not be long enough individually. Fussy cut these out to a length a 'dot' longer than the cake layers, so you create a slight overhang.

Stamp out three flowers, three large leaves and four small leaves. These are two step stamps, so stamp the solid image in the lighter colour and the detailed image in the darker colour. I used powder pink for my flowers and mint macaron for the flowers - to create the light colour I stamped the image off first to create a lighter shade. Fussy cut these out as well.

Add the cake layers to the card using snail and sit one on top of the other. Use the dot strips you made to cover the joins and adhere with mini dimensionals, you will need to cut these in half as the pieces are so thin.

Place the flowers and larger leaves on the cake, one to each layer.

Lastly, take a straight edge of scrap whisper white and stamp the Happy Anniversary sentiment lightly above the edge. Line up the sentiment in you Pretty Label punch as below:-

Punch out so that you keep the straight edge along the bottom, the finished piece should look like this:-

Sponge the edges with powder pink ink to give the piece dimension and add to the card. Add the small leaves to either side of the sentiment and you are all done!!

I would like to thank you all for continually supporting me through my Stampin Up Journey.

I hope you enjoyed my project, see you all again soon.
