Rustic Retreat Thinking of You Card using the Retiform Technique

Good Morning Everyone,

It's Friday!! Wooo hoo, I'm looking forward to spending the weekend with Dave and Imogen. Although, the weather is not forecast to be too cracky!! But we will still make the most of it!!

Today I have joined in with a challenge from Crafty Stamping Club Tricia has challenged us with the Retiform Technique. I've never tried it before, so I gave it a shot and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Measurements

Merry Merlot
1pc- 4 1/8" x 11 3/4"  scored at the 5 7/8"

Whisper White Cardstock
2pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - scrap for the sentiment

Scrap of cardstock to use as a mask

Take one of the whisper white pieces and lay the scrap cardstock over it at an angle. Using the Sahara sand ink, sponge along the edge to create a line of ink. Repeat this all over the card front changing up the angles to create different sized sections.

Now take some post it notes, and mask off a section, running the post it note all the sponged edges. Ink up your images and fill the space. Stamp off a few times as well to get some lighter shades and build up the imagery. Make sure you stamp onto the post its as well, so you get a partial image, cut off by the sponged line.

Repeat this in all the sections. Then sponge around the edges to continue the look. Add this panel to a card base that you make from folding the merry merlot along the score line.

On a scrap stamp the sentiment, sponge the edges, then fussy cut. Add this to the card front using Dimensionals.

Finally sponge the edges of the remaining piece of whisper white and add to the inside of the card.
