Handmade Cuff Link, Tie Pin & Pocket Square Gift Box - Perfect for Father's Day. Share in on a Sunday #19

Hello everyone

Hope you are well today and having a great weekend so far. You guessed it, we have another Share it on a Sunday instalment for you this week. As it's Father's Day here in the UK.  We thought we would do a Masculine theme, which also ties into the challenge on Craft & Banter this week.

As usual, I'll run through my project and then link to Donna and Karen's blogs so you can have see what they both made.

I decided to create this fabulous Gift Box to hold a pair of cufflinks, tie pin and a pocket square. I think it's so cute, and it's super easy to make.

Measurements

Night of Navy cardstock
1pc - 6" x 10"
1pc - 3 1/2" x 1 1/2"

Balmy Blue Cardstock
1pc - 5" x 3"
2pc - 2 3/4" x 3 1/4"

Petal Pink Cardstock
2pc - 3 1/2" x 3"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 2 1/2" x 3"

Take the piece of Night of Navy cardstock and score as follows
Long side - 1", 4 1/2", 5 1/2" & 9"
Short side - 1" & 5"

Then holding this horizontally cut up the score lines to the first horizontal one. Then notch in to the squares. Repeat
this at the top too. So you end up with this shape

Stamp the greeting and the stars onto one of the balmy blue pieces, then layer this onto a piece of petal pink.  Add this to one of the larger panels and add a thumb notch to the thin rectangle next to it

Flip the card stock over and on the same section as you did above add the remaining petal pink, larger piece of balmy blue and the whisper white. I would write your message on this piece first, before adding to the box, it's so my easier to write on when it is flat!! Ask me how I know!!

Flip it back over and add tear and tape to all the square tabs. Adhere the tabs as below, A tabs create the lid and B tabs create the base

Next, take the thin strip of night of navy and score on the short side at 1/2". burnish this well and create an L shape. run adhesive along the 1/2" section and add to the tray section roughly 2 1/2" from the left.

Now take the last piece of Balmy Blue cardstock and score at 3/4" on all four sides. cut and notch into all the square sections to create tabs. taking a craft knife, cut a vertical line for the tie pin and two crosses for the cuff links. I would add these now, it's easier to get them in at this point. add tear and tape to the tabs and adhere to create the sides, forming this below the top piece.

Add this to the tray on the right hand side.

I hope you enjoyed the project, pop over to Donna and Karen's blogs to see what they have made for our Masculine  theme this week..
