I hope you are all doing well, it's Friday, yey!! Although the day's are rolling into one, don't you think!
Today I've made a card using the Ornate Garden DSP, I love this paper. It's floral and has gold built into some of the designs. The layout is a great one to use little material for great effect.
It also fits this week's theme over on the Craft and Banter Group on Facebook. It's all about Summer Flowers. I'd encourage you to pop on over and check it out. It's not just a papercraft group, there's a whole host of crafting types They share fabric crafts, baking, photography sewing... anything that's a craft is welcome. Head on over, there's a lot of chat and Banter and the name suggests too.
I digress, here's the tutorial for today.
Measurements
Soft sea foam cardstock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"
6pc - 1 3/8" x 1 3/8"
1pc - 3/4" x 3"
Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 5/8" x 2 7/8"
Ornate Garden DSP
6pc - 1 1/4" x 1 1/4"
1pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
Create your card base by folding the soft sea foam along to score line, then add the whisper white to the inside and the larger piece of ornate garden to the card front.
Layer up all the squares of ornate garden on to the soft sea foam square. Then stamp the sentiment from Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set in old olive onto the whisper white and layer to the soft sea foam.
Arrange all these onto the card front and glue down. I used liquid glue which gave me a little bit of time to arrange them so they line up perfectly. Be sure to pay attention to how the pattern follows through on your card properly.
Finally add a gold metallic pearl to either side of the sentiment.
It's super quick, super easy but super lovely because of the fabulous DSP.
