Good Afternoon Everyone
Happy Wednesday!
Over the weekend I took part in a Crazy Challenge Insta Hop - five of use create projects with Stampin' Up! products you wouldn't normally see together. So you pick a DSP and a stamp set from different Suites for instance. I had a few messages asking if I had a tutorial so I thought I'd pop one up today to show my process.
I decided to pull together the Artfully Composed DSP from the current Mini and the brand new Uniquely Artistic stamp set from the Annual Catalogue. Now they are both leaves so not too crazy, but I added a pop of Polished pink and some copper heat embossing - that sounds crazy, right?
But as you can see, it actually works really well.

Take the Polished Pink Card stock and fold along the score line, adding the Basic White panel to the inside.
Ink up the larger solid image in Polished Pink ink and stamp all over the larger piece of Artfully composed DSP - Please bear with the process, it takes a few steps before it start to look like something decent haha!!
Once the ink is fully dry - you may want to give it a quick blast with your heat tool to make sure it's bone dry!
Take the outline image to match and ink up in Versamark ink, now stamp this over the Polished Pink stamping you did on the DSP. The images don't line up perfectly, the outline kinda sits inside the solid image slightly.
Once you have stamped all the outlines sprinkle over some copper embossing powder to cover the wet versamark - make sure you give it a good covering, then gently tap off the excess powder.
Turn on your heat tool and get it nice and hot, then hover it over the powder until it has all melted and is know smooth and shiny. Do this for all the images on the DSP.
Also repeat the embossing process on a scrap of Polished Pink Card Stock. Once cooled, fussy cut this image.
Add the larger DSP panel to the card front, then place to small piece of DSP on top in the centre.
On a scrap of Basic White Stamp the Happy Birthday Sentiment twice in Evening Evergreen ink. Fussy cut the words. Use Happy from one stamped image and Birthday from the other - as the words are close together, using the one image will mean you have a pretty non existence white edge on one side. Using the just one word means you can get a better finish.
Add the sentiment strips to the top and the bottom of the smaller DSP panel, adding the fussy cut leaf image to the centre. I added all these with dimensionals to give some additional depth to the card.
I really hope you liked my card today, I know it's a bit wacky - but it works and maybe It may encourage you to take a look at your stash and see what products you could use together!
