Hues of Happiness & Butterfly Kisses Best Wishes Lidded Gift Box. 3D Thursday

 Good Morning Everyone

It's 3D Thursday for the Bird's, so we have three projects to share with you today. Take a peek at mine, and then I will link to both Donna & Karen so you can see what they have created.

I've decided on a very cute Lidded Gift Box. It' measure 4" x 4" x 2", so it's a good size for all sorts of goodies and a great size to show off some beautiful DSP.

I've used Butterfly Kisses for the lid and added some fussy cut some flowers from the Hues of Happiness DSP, which I think work really well together.

Measurements

Starry Sky Card Stock

1pc - 8" x 8"

Crushed Curry Card Stock

1pc - scrap strip

Butterfly Kisses DSP

1pc - 6" x 6"

Hues of Happiness DSP

selection of fussy cut flowers

---------------------------------------

Take the square piece of Starry Sky card Stock and score on all four sides at 2". Fold and burnish all the score lines and then snip away at the smaller corner squares to create tabs.  Hold the card stock and cut up the first score line at the bottom left, and notch in. Rotate your card 90 degrees and do the same. Repeat this process for all the four corners. You will have a piece that looks like this.

Repeat this process with the Butterfly Kisses DSP, but score at 1" on all four side. But when scoring pull the DSP a tiny bit away from the edge of your score board, it doesn't have to be much its like 1/16". But I find it easy to do it this way than faff with those small number when cutting card Stock. This process will just help the lid fit better

Add tear and tape to all the tabs, fold in to create the base and the lid.

Now for the decoration. Stamp the sentiment in Starry Sky ink onto a scrap strip of Crushed Curry trim down so it's just a little shorter then the top of the lid. with the sentiment over to the right. Glue down to the lid with a bit of liquid glue.

Fussy cut a few of the flowers from the Hues of Happiness DSP and add to the left hand side of the sentiment.
