Lovely & Lasting Happy Birthday Card. Stamping with Friends Blog Hop. May 2022

 Good Evening Everyone

Tonight I am Blog hopping with the wonderful Stamping with Friends group and we are all showcasing Brand New Catalogue Goodies. Please take a peek at my project, then you can click through to the other projects in the hop.

As soon as I saw the New Catalogue the Lovely in Linen Suite really jumped out at me. It's bold Textile Style  & Eclectic Geometric Design Papers and the Bold Imagery in the stamp set made me want it straight away, so I thought I would share a project with that today.

Measurements

Soft Succulent Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scraps

Lovely in Linen DSP

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 5" x 2 1/2"

-------------------------------------------

Take your Soft Succulent card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding the piece of Basic White to the inside.

Hold the smaller piece of DSP in your left hand with the short edge along the top, tear down from the top right to the bottom left with your right hand. Take your time and gently 'peel' the paper down - this will help you have more control of where you are ripping and give a better line. Repeat this for the piece that is left, making a smaller triangular shape.

Adhere the both to the larger piece of DSP - the biggest piece in the top left and the smaller one into the lower right. Make sure your straight edges all sit flush with the DSP below. Add this to the card front.

Stamp the large flower image onto a scrap of Basic white - once in soft succulent and once in sweet sorbet. Once the ink has dried, fussy cut the flower heads from the sweet sorbet image being careful to leave jyst a thin white border around the edge. Pop some liquid glue behind these and place then directly over the same soft succulent flower. once the glue has dried fussy cut the whole piece leaving a nice even border all the way round. Add this to the centre of the card with some dimensionals. Add a couple of iridescent rhinestones to the centre of the open flower heads.

Stamp the label outline in night of Navy ink onto a scrap of basic white and the add the Happy Birthday sentiment in the same colour into the centre. Cut out using the lasting Label punch, pop a couple of dimensionals towards the bottom of it and add to the card front, covering the stems of the flowers slightly.

I love how this card turned out - I hope you like it too, please take a look at the list below and continue through the hop to get a lot of inspiration from these talented ladies showcasing some of our Brand New Catalogue goodies.
