Good Morning Everyone
I hope you are all having a fabulous Bank Holiday Weekend - nice to have an extra day tagged onto the weekend isn't it? We are having a pretty chilled out day today - both Saturday and Sunday were busy, so today is going to be of a slower pace - I would love the chance to get some hours in the craft room. Let's see what happens. Hopefully you all have some lovely plans for the day!
So, as always I'm sharing our brand new colour combination over on Creative Colour Challenges. I absolutely love this combo and can see so many great opportunities here. I decided on using the Garden Birdhouses Stamp Set - which I think is so sweet.

--------------------------------------
I found it easier to create all my elements first so,
- Stamp the branch image in Shaded Spruce once on shaded spruce card stock.
- Stamp the branch image in Mint Macaron twice on Mint Macaron card stock.
- stamp the two birdhouses, post and hanging wire in Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake card stock - adding some additional colour with your Stampin Blends.
- stamp a selection of bird images in both Shaded Spruce and Mint Macaron ink on Crumb Cake card stock.
Fussy cut all the above and pop to one side.
Ink up the sentiment in Shaded Spruce ink and stamp onto Mint Macaron card stock - cut this out using the smooth oval from the Double Oval Punch. Also cut a scallop oval in Crumb Cake and one in the Vellum. Layer the vellum piece on top of the crumb cake oval, then add the sentiment to the centre.
Add the Branch image in Shaded Spruce ink to the Shaded Spruce Card Stock piece covering the whole area.
That's it for all the little pieces and the inking, so now you can start to create the card.
Fold the Crumb Cake card stock along the score line to make your card base, adding the Basic White to the inside.
Take the strip of vellum and add it to the Shaded Spruce panel. Lay it about 1/4" from the left hand, then fold over the top and bottom nice and tightly then secure on the back with tape. This helps keep it in place without having any adhesive holding it on the front side, and having it show through.
Add this panel to the card front.
Bring in the the fussy cut branches and add them to the card, 'tucking' them under the vellum and adhering with a small amount of liquid glue. I didn't add much to the leafy section as I wanted a bit of lift on them.
Now add one of the birdhouses over the vellum section covering the crossover of the branches underneath.
Pop the sentiment up on dimensionals and add to the lower right hand cover.
Place the remaining birdhouse the the branches in between those two elements
Finally scatter some birds among the branches and on the birdhouses.
I hope you like how I've used the combo today, I would absolutely love for you to join us this week. The challenge runs until Sunday 8th, so lots of time to enter if you want to.
