Perennial Essence Jumbo Duo Tealight Box. Day 12 of #31dayscraftchallenge

Good Morning Everyone,

I hope you are well, it's wet and windy here today, so we won't be heading out unless we have to... Hahaha.

Today I have my 12th project in the #31dayscraftchallenge, and it's a pretty cute one. It's a lovely little gift box to hold two jumbo tealights, decorated with the gorgeous perennial essence DSP.

Measurements

Sahara Sand Cardstock
1pc - 8" x 7"

Perennial Essence DSP
1pc - 2 1/4" x 4 3/4"
2pc - 2 1/4" x 3 /4"
2pc - 4 3/4" x 3 /4"

Take your cardstock and score as follows...
Long side - 1", 3 1/2", 4 1/2" & 7"
Short side - 1", 6"

Fold and burnish all the score lines using a bone folder. Then hold the cardstock horizontally and cut up all the vertical score lines to the horizontal line, and notch into the square sections slightly. Do this on both sides so you have 6 tabs. You should be left with this shape.

As you can see above, A's will fold in to form the lid and the B's will form the base, so you need to add the DSP to the lid and the surrounding sections, as below. Add a small thumb hole, by using a circle punch and cutting out approx 1/4".

Add tear and tape to all the tabs and following the arrows on the image above, create your box.

On a scrap of sahara sand, stamp the hello sentiment from Varied Vases, cut out using the 1" circle punch and spinge the edges. Cut a small piece of tulle ribbion and cut banner tails to either end. Add this to the bottom of the lid with a small bit of snail, then place the stamped circle over the top.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used in today's project, click on the images to head over to my online store. Dont forget that any purchases from the Annual and Mini catalogues qualify for the Sale a Bration promotion.
