I hope you are well. So today is Day 21 of #31dayscraftchallenge and it's a good one! I have a gorgeous tiny gift box that I created to hold a Nivea Lip Balm Stick. It measures only 1" x 1" x 3" so it is pretty teeny!!
I've used the Golden Honey Speciality designer series paper, which is only available as a level 1 Sale A Bration freebie which qualifying orders. It is focused on Bees. But if that's not your thing, there's some beautiful bold patterns and this lovely monotone floral print.
Measurements
Lovely Lipstick Cardstock
1pc - 4 12" x 5 1/2"
1pc - scrap for sentiment
Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - scrap for sentiment
Golden Honey Speciality DSP
1pc - 7/8" x 7/8"
4pc - 2 7/8" x 7/8"
Take the lovely lipstick cardstock and score as follows:
Long Side - 1", 4" & 5"
Short Side- 1", 2", 3" & 4"
Fold and burnish alomg all the score lines, then with your snips cut away. Hold your cardatock so the thin section is to the left, and the two rows of squares are at the top, then cut away until your cardstock looks like this...
Add the four pieces of DSP to the larger panels that run along the middle of the card. If you cut your DSP to 2 7/8" first, and then cut off the 4x 7/8" pieces, you can have the pattern continued all the way round. Add a small thumb notch to the large panel which doesn't have anything above it (second panel from the right).
Add tear and tape to the tab you created on the left handside and adhere to the opposite side. At the bottom, fold in the sides, back then adhere the front panel down to form the base. Then close the top, notching the flap slightly will make it close neater.
Run the tag through your die cutting machine and create on tag in lovely lipstick and one in whisper white. Stamp the senitment from beautiful bouquet onto the whisper white tag and offset layer this onto the lovely lipstick tag. Make sure you line up the holes perfectly. Cut a length of the polka dot tulle, so that there's one dot running the length then thread this through the hole. Tie some silver metallic thread to secure and add to the front of the box with a dimensional.
