Noble Peacock Speciality Box and Coordinating Card. Day 3 of #31dayscraftchallenge

Good afternoon Everyone,

So, it's Friday.... but it doesn't feel like Friday to me. I'm all confused now with what day it is after Christmas! Haha.

Today I have a goft box and card project for you. Super simple and quick to make, and as a bonus you can make 2 sets from 1 sheet of 12" x 12"

Measurements

The Gift Box
Noble Peacock Speciality DSP
1pc - 8" x 4 1/2"

Whisper white cardstock
1pc - scrap for sentiment

Pretty Peacock Cardstock
1pc - scrap for sentiment

The Card
Pretty Peacock Cardstock
1pc - 8" x 4", scored at 4"
1pc - scrap for sentiment

Whisper White Cardstock
2pc - 3 7/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - scrap for sentiment

Noble Peacock Speciality DSP
1pc - 3 5/8" x 3 5/8"

First of all create the box. Score the noble peacock speciality DSP on the long side at
1", 3 1/2", 4 1/2" & 7", then on the short side at 1" & 3 1/2". Fold and burnish all the score lines with a bone folder, then holding the card horizontally, cut up all the score lines and wedge into the square to create 3 tabs along the bottom, and three tabs along the top.

Take the 1" circle punch and add a small notch into the thin rectangle on the right hand side which is in between two tabs.add adhesive to the two tabs and fold them back onto the rectangular tabs on each side - this has created your lid. Now add adhesive to the remaining 4 tabs and fold them in to create the base.

Wrap some of the 3/8" silver metallic edge ribbon around the box and finish with a square knot. Stamp the small sentiment from Above the Clouds onto the scrap of whisper white they layer pnto some pretty peacock and add to the corner of the box. Add rhinestones to any of the centres of the pattern that are visible.

Create your card by folding the cardstock along the score line and burnishing well. Layer the whipser white to the inside and front of the card. Wrap a length of the metallic thread around the noble peacock speciality DSP and secure on the back. Add this panel to the card front. Again, add rhinestones to any of the centres of the pattern that you can see. Finally stamp the sentiment, this time from A Big Thank you stamp set, layer onto the pretty peacock and add to the card front.
