Tropical Escape Thank You Gift Box. Number 36 of #100things

Hello Everyone,

Happy Sunday, What has everyone got planned - Dave's got golf this morning so I'm headed to the craft room - then we have a few hours to ourselves this aft, before we head to my mum and dads for a big family tea. Can't wait.

I love this decoration as It can be easily used for a male or female gift. The finished dimensions are 4"x 2 1/4" x 2", so you can fit a lot of goodies inside.

Take a piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock that measures 8" x 11". Score on the long side at 2", 4 1/2", 6 1/2" & 9". Score on the short side at 2" & 6".

Hold the cardstock so to 11" side runs horizontal. Cut straight up the side of the rectangles and notch into the square. This will create your tabs, and you should end up with your cardstock looking like this:-

Add the DSP Panels to the card as above, the DSP Measurements are as follows:-
1pc -  3 3/4" x 2"
2pcs - 2 1/4" x 1 3/4"
2pcs - 1 3/4" x 3 3/4"

Once the panels are adhered, take the 3/4" circle punch at create a thumb hole on to lid, this will be the furthest left hand panel. Centre it along the panel, and then place the punch about 1/3rd way in and create a semi circle.
Next to close up the box, Add adhesive to all the tabs, and follow the arrows above to create the box. The 'A' tabs help create the lid and the 'B' tabs will create the base. (See above Image)

For the decoration, stamp the frame image from the label me pretty stamp set, then cut out with the pretty label punch. In poppy parade stamp out the  thank you sentiment and punch out using the 1" circle punch, this will cut off the framed image surrounding the sentiment. Sponge the edges, then layer this onto the label and then add it to the box.

Here's a list of the supplies I used today, click on the images to head over to my online store.
