Inlaid Embossing Happy Birthday Card using Stampin Up Products

Good Morning Everyone

Hope you are well.

The sun is shining and it's quite nice so we are just getting ready to go out for a walk before lunch. But I thought I'd share this card with you.

It uses a technique called Inlaid Embossing which isn't one I have done before. It's super easy and you can get some amazing results. Basically, you take a piece of cardstock and add die cuts or punches over the top, then run it through an embossing folder. You should give it a go... there's so many possibilities for great card designs with this.

Measurements

Mossy Meadow Cardstock
1pc - 8 1/4" x 5 7/8", scored at 4 1/8"
Scraps for the die cuts

Whisper White Cardstock.
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
Scrap for oval

Old Olive Cardstock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

So Saffron Cardstock
Scrap for the Oval.

Take the scraps of mossy meadow cardstock and cut out a selection of leaves using the Flourish Dies and Bouquet Bunch Dies. Add these die cuts to the Old Olive Cardstock with liquid glue. Be super careful not to put too much on otherwise it with squish out of the sides.  Wait until the glue has dried, then pop into the Leaves embossing folder and run through your die cutting machine.

Run a length to the ribbon along the centre of the front, and secure on the back.

Fold the mossy meadow cardstock along the score line and add the embossed panel to the front, then add the whisper white to the inside.

Cut out two ovals using the stitched shapes dies. One oval in whisper white and a larger one in so saffron. Stamp the sentiment from Rustic Retreat on the whisper white and use the old olive blend

Layer these two ovals together and add to the centre of the card front with dimensionals

Finally tie a bow in the same ribbon and add the the card next to the sentiment
