I hope you are well. The sun is shining, so I'm just about to make lunch to sit and eat in the Garden, but before I crack on with I want to share this cute little gift box I made. It measures 1 3/4" on all sides and is decorated with the great Birthday Bonanza DSP
,
Measurements
Mango Melody Cardstock
1pc - 8" x 6 1/4"
Birthday Bonaza Designer Series Paper
5pc - 1 5/8" x 1 5/8"
scraps for the punch outs
Whisper White Cardstock
scrap for the sentiment
Take the Piece of Mango Melody cardstock and score as follows:-
Long Side - 1", 2 3/4", 4 1/2" & 6 1/4"
Short Side - 1", 2 3/4" & 4 1/2"
Fold and burnish all the score lines with a bone folder, then holding the card stoch as above, you need to start cutting away.
- Cut away the bottom left hand skinny rectangle, leave the one above in place and remove the two thin rectangle above. Notch in slightly at each side of the remaining rectangle.
- Cut up all the score lines along the bottom squares up to the first horizontal score line.
- Move to the top row of the cardstock, keep the first rectangle, then remove the remaining three on that row. Notch into the remaining rectangle.
- Looking at the top row of squares, cut away just under half of the square next to the first section and notch in slightly, repeat this for the square on the end.
- Remove to remaining full square completely
You will be left with a shape like this
Now add the DSP to all four squares that run along the centre and the one square above. If you have directional paper, thw four in a row needto be facing the right way round, and the other square beeds to go upside down, like this...
Put a small thumb notch into whatvwill be the front of the box.
Add tear and tape to the tab on the left habd side and fold round to adhere to the opposite side of the cardstock.
With the squares at the bottom, fold in the side and the back then adhere down the front piece to create the base. The lid will tuck in just nicely.
Punch out 5 1" circles from the birthday bonanza DSP, 4 to show one of the animals and one Plain pattern. Sponge the edges with mango melody ink and add to each of the four sides
Stamp the sentiment from beautiful bouquet in bermuda bay and cut out using a 3/4" punch, sponge these edges along with the remaining 1" circle, layer together and add to the lid.
