Thinking of You This Season Snowman Magic Christmas Card. Crafty Collaborations Mini Catalogue Hop. July 2022

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in another of the Crafty Collaborations blog hops and this time we are all showcasing projects using BRAND NEW items from our Mini Catalogue which launched at the beginning of July.

As soon as I saw the Snowman Magic Stamp set and coordinating dies I knew I had to have them. I absolutely loved the Snowman Seasons set which sadly retired with the last annual catalogue - so I was overjoyed to see a very cute and versatile bundle with Snowman join us for the mini.

I decided to create a little scene with a Snowman and Snowlady for a very easy but effective Thinking of You this Season Card.

Measurements

Bermuda Bay Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" , scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - 5 3/4" x 3 3/4"

Scraps

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

scraps

Gold Metallic Specialty Paper

1pc - 5 3/4" x 3 7/8"

----------------------------------------

Take your larger piece of Bermuda Bay Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base. Add the Basic White piece of card to the inside.

Ink up the lines in Bermuda Bay ink and add across the remaining piece of Bermuda Bay card stock. Add some of the tree images with the same colour ink. The tree image is a cluster of three trees, so I masked one off so that I has a mix of two and three trees together.

Apply some of the adhesive sheets to the back of the scraps of Bermuda Bay and, using your Mini Cut & Emboss machine die cut three of the trees. Take the release paper off the back and add to your'scene'.

Ink up a sponge, or dauber with some of our white craft ink and lightly dab straight up and down below the line you created. You want to add extra texture and have it look a little like snow so you do not need to worry about blending it it - you don't want this looking smooth. Just try not to get too much on the trunks of the trees.

Take this piece of card and cut an angled line across the top and bottom, angling them so that they are opposite. I'll be honest, I didn't measure this - just did it by eye. All I wanted was a small angle, enough to take a slither of card away so that you can see a nice line of Gold beneath.

Take the sentiment and ink it up in Versamark ink and stamp it along the top, following the angle of the card. Sprinkle with White embossing powder and heat set.

Add this panel to the piece of Gold Speciality Paper making sure the the two sides line up with the edge of the paper and then add to the card front.

On scraps of Basic White Stamp out all the elements for your Snow People. Run all these through your Mini Cut & Emboss Machine, along with some arms using Soft Suede card stock.

Build Your images and add to the card front. I used a mixture of dimensionals and liquid glue to get the balance right.

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today. Please take a look at the list below and continue through the hop for lots more inspiration from our New Mini Catalogue.
