Cottage Rose Lidded Happy Birthday Gift Box. 3D Thursday

 Good Morning Everyone

Happy Thursday!! We have Sunshine again today, although it has dropped a little cooler it's still due to be a nice day, so another day playing about in the garden me thinks.

As it's Thursday, We have another 3D Thursday for you. I've gone all soft and subtle with the Abigail Rose Suite and created this lidded gift box which hold 5 Raffelo Sweeties. But at 3" x 4" x 1 3/4", it will fit lots of other goodies in too.

Measurements

Smoky Slate Card Stock

1pc - 6 1/2" x 7 1/2"

1pc - scrap

Very Vanilla Card Stock

1pc - 6" x 5"

2pc - scrap

Abigail Rose DSP

1pc - 3 7/8" x 2 7/8"

2pc - 3 7/8" x 7/8"

2pc - 2 7/8" x 7/8"

--------------------------------------

Take the Smoky slate card stock and score at 1 3/4" on all four sides.

Fold and burnish the score lines well and notch into all the four corner square to create tabs.

Add tear and tape to all four tabs and adhere to the sides to create to base.

For the lid, score the Very Vanilla card stock at 1" on all four side - if you move the card stock away for the left edge just a fraction on each score line your lid it will fit the box a little better.

Fold and burnish all the score lines and again notch into the squares to create those tabs

Add all your DSP pieces to the Lid. If you have direction paper, pay attention to how the box will be when it is built so that your paper is the right way.

Add tear and tape to the tabs and fold them into the side to make the lid.

On a scrap strip of Very Vanilla stamp the sentiment in Early Espresso ink, trim and layer onto a strip of smoky slate and trim the top and bottom. I decided to have a thinner strip at the top and a slightly larger strip of smoky slate along the bottom - just to be a little different.

Trim the length to 3 7/8" , making sure the sentiment is over to the right and adhere to the lid of the box.

On another scrap of Very Vanilla stamp the flower in Early Espresso ink and once dry colour with your Highland Heather Stampin Blends. Cut out ( either with the coordinating die or fussy cut) then add to the box.

I love this light and simple design. It's a soft and delicate palette - not usually in my remit - but I love how it looks.

Please head on over to see what Karen has made for this week's 3D Thursday.
