Treasured Kindness Thank You Card. Creative Colour Challenge #CCC42

 Good Morning Everyone

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend. We are still getting into the swing of things after being away last week - luckily Dave is off work from another week, so we still have lots more fun things to do! Today we are heading to a local Park that has a little train ride and a boating lake, plus a great adventure playground so we should have two happy little ladies!

As it's Monday, it's time for my Sample card for this week's Creative Colour Challenges combo, and it's a fabulous combination this week. I absolutely love these three colours together, and I have used the Treasured Kindness Stamp set along with some of the Orchid Oasis DSP from the In Colour DSP Pack to simply created an interesting Thank You Card.

Measurements

Orchid Oasis Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 4" x 1 1/2"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

1pc - 2 1/2" x 2 1/2"

Parakeet Party Card Stock

1pc - 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"

Basic Gray Card Stock

1pc - 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"

Orchid Oasis DSP

1pc - 4" x 5 3/4"

6pc - 1/4" strips

-----------------------------------

Take the Orchid Oasis Card stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, then add the larger piece of basic white to the inside.

Add the DSP strips to the DSP panel, three in the lower left, three in the top right. Trim any overhanging edges to make them flush with the DSP below.

On the Thin 1 1/2" strip of Orchid Oasis DSP, stamp the Thank You sentiment in Orchid Oasis ink to fill the strip. Then add this the DSP Panel, about 1/2" ish from the right hand side. Place this whole piece onto the card front.

Now, take the Tree and leaves images and stamp onto the 2 1/2" square piece of basic white. I stamped the truck first using Basic Gray - the solid image in 2nd Generation (stamped off once) stamping and then added the detail with 1st generation Basic Gray ink. Add the leaves doing the same thing - solid in 2nd Generation and the detail in 1st generation stamping using Parakeet Party ink.

Hold this piece of card and very lightly 'dab' the edges into your Basic Gray ink pad. Try to keep the card vertical as much as you can - this will help you create a very thin border around the edges. Layer this onto the Basic Gray and the Parakeet Party card stock squares - offsetting then to create some additional interest.

Add this to the card front, covering the top 2/3rds.

Stamp the Thank You again but onto scrap Basic White in Basic Gray ink and trim. Add this to the strip of stamp Orchid Oasis covering up one of the sentiments .

I hope you have enjoyed today's card. Please do pop on over to Creative Colour Challenges to see more about the challenges and details on how to enter - I love love to see what you could come up with.
