Good Evening Everyone
Happy Wednesday - I hope you are all having a fabulous week? I'm glad you could join me today for this months Touches of Ink Blog Hop. There will be lots of inspiration for you!
Now, I decided that I would make a coordinating set today - a Card and a Gift Bag. Because well it's always nice to match, right? I cannot seem to put down the Hues of Happiness Bundle, so here we are again. I was looking through the DSP and wanted to create a different look - so I opted for the simple ombre paint effect side of the Papers to form my backgrounds and of course, I needed to add some of the Gorgeous Flowers as well but I just love this slightly moody and dramatic look. Focusing on some of the deeper colours that feature in the Suite.

CREATE THE GIFT BAG
Take you piece of Hues of Happiness DSP and score as follows:-
Long Side
Full Scores - 1 1/4", 5 3/4", 7" & 11 1/2"
Part Scored - 5/8" & 6 3/8" to approx 4" down.
Short Side
Full Scores - 5"
Fold and burnish all the full score lines well and then cut away at the DSP. Hold it horizontally with the thinner skinny rectangle to the right. Cut up all the score lines at the bottom, cut straight up at the side of the rectangles and notch into the square sections. Remove the tiny rectangle in the bottom right hand corner, then notch the top and the bottom on the long thin tab you just created. You should get this shape.
Add tear and tape to the thin tab, then fold round and adhere to the opposite side, fold in the sides, back and then adhere the front down.
Pinch in the gift bag at the top and the part scores you added should help this be a nice smooth closure. Wrap the length of Fresh Freesia around the top and glue the join at the front. Trim off any extra card stock. Remove from the bag and just reinforce the score lines gently with your fingers, no need for the bone folder - unless you want to!
Stamp the sentiment in gorgeous grape ink onto the scrap of basic white, trim and banner tail the right hand edge
Now, attach a handful of fussy cut Flowers and the sentiment to create a cluster, keeping in mind to only have the glue on the Fresh Freesia piece or other flowers, if you go over, the belly band will not be able to come off the bag.
CREATE THE CARD
Take your Night of Navy Card Stock and fold along the score line to create you card base. Add the DSP to the card front and the Basic White piece to the inside.
Arrange the fussy cut flowers and leaves to create a larger cluster on the card front.
Then finally stamp the sentiment, again in Gorgeous Grape ink onto a scrap of basic white, but this time trim and banner tail both ends. Add this through the centre of the floral cluster.
