Garden Birdhouses Perfectly Penciled Birthday Wishes Double Gatefold Card. Fun Fold Friday

  Good Morning Everyone

Happy Friday Folks! I hope you have had a wonderful week, and here's to a fabulous weekend.

We have a Bird's Fun Fold Friday share for you today. Donna, Karen and Myself have created a Fun Fold Project to show you today - see take a look at mine whilst you are here - then towards the end of my post you will find links to both their blogs.

I Have had my eye on this fold for a while, but I've never been able to get my measurements spot on, so I popped on over to Karen's Blog to see if it was something she had made before. Karen ran a series, last year where she focused on Fun Fold's  - so it was highly likely She would have made one and she had - so thank you Karen for the Base measurements.

I don't ordinarily make a 5"x 7" card, but this gives simpler measurements and more area to show off your lovely designs.

Measurements

Granny Apple Green Card Stock

2pc - 7" x 10"

1pc - 3 1/4" x 3 5/8"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 6 7/8" x 4 7/8"

1pc - 3 1/8" x 3 1/2"

2pc - 2 3/8" x 6 7/8"

Perfectly Penciled DSP

2pc - 2 3/4" x 6 7/8"

----------------------------------

First of all Take some Basic White card stock and cover it with the Birdhouse Images in memento ink. Once dry colour with a selection of Blends. Then trim down to create the two panels. You could just stamp the two smaller panel - but I have a project idea for the rest of this piece - so keep your eyes peeled for that soon.

Take your Granny Apple Green Card Stock and score both pieces at 2 1/2" and 5" on the long side. Fold the so that you fold the card in half on the middle score, and then away in the opposite direction to get a this shape below. Turn one piece "upside down" so that you have two small panels either side and the two larger panels sit on top of each other. You will need to take a tiny sliver off the edge of the top panel to help it sit flush.

Glue the two middle sections together. Make sure you burnish the fold well to get a crisp fold.

Now, add the two stamp panels to the two outer panels, the DSP to the next two panels and the larger piece of Basic White to the centre large panel. I added some fussy cut bird houses along the bottom, but you could just stamp and colour these straight onto the white.

On the smaller piece of Basic White, stamp the little scene and sentiment. Adding a little bit of detail colouring with your Blends. Layer this to the remaining piece of Granny Apple Green Card Stock. Add Dimensionals to the back of the panel, making sure they are only on the left hand half.

Close up your card and add this to the card front, making sure you only stick it down to the left hand panel, otherwise if you will glue the card shut.

I hope you liked my card today - Please head over and check out what Donna & Karen Have both made today
