Good Morning Everyone
Today I want to share with you my first card made with the Hello Ladybug Stamp set and coordinating punch. This is such a cute and adorable set and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on it.
I've created my own DSP and simply decorated a Joy Fold card to show this off and I'm thrilled with the results. I decided to double stamp the larger flower to try and replicate a sunflower, which I think works.
Measurements
Basic Black Card Stock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 8 7/8", scored at 3"
1pc - 3" x 7 1/2", scored at 3 3/4"
Basic White Card Stock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 2 5/8" x 3 7/8"
2pc - 3 1/2" x 2 3/4"
---------------------------------------
Take the Highland Heather and Mango Melody pieces of card stock and fold along the score line.
Put the 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" pieces of basic white to one side for now.
On the remaining pieces of basic white, stamp the images all over all the pieces. Here's the way I coloured them:-
Large Flowers - Stamped in Bumblebee twice, offset to create a full flower, Soft suede into the flower centre.
Small Flower Cluster - Flirty Flamingo.
Take the larger piece of basic black card stock and place it in front of you with the fold to the left. Add the largest stamped panel to the inside, and the second largest to the smaller card front flap you created.
On one of the remaining piece of Basic White Card Stock, stamp the leaf in Granny Apple Green and add the sentiment from Sweet as a Peach above in Flirty Flamingo ink.
Bring in the smaller piece of basic black card stock and hold that so the fold is on the right. Add the last of the stamped panels to the front and the plain piece of basic white to the inside.
Stamp the bumblebee flower again onto a piece of scrap basic white and fussy cut. Gently lift the edges a bit, just to give a small amount of dimension.
On another piece of scrap basic white stamp the wings in Real Red and add the dots with Memento ink. Cut out with the Ladybug Builder Punch. Then punch out the body of the Lady bug in basic black.
Add these to the front panel with the leaf, using liquid glue for the flower (only adding a small amount to the centre, which will let those edges stay up) and a dimensional for the ladybug - again just to add some more depth.
Thsi is what the card should look like if laid flat, hopefully you can see how the pieces lay and slot together.
I really hope you have enjoyed today's card, I really loved making it, and the Ladybug bundle is jsut so much fun to play with.
