Good Morning Everyone
Today I have a Gift Box to share with you that I created to gift some of the Cactus cards I made on Monday in.
The box is decorated in exactly the same way - same design and dimensions, but as it needed to be larger that the card to fit the envelopes in as well, I added a mat layer of DSP to the front, which I think looks really good.
It measures 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" x 1", which is a great size for all sorts of goodies if you didn't want to gift cards, and it fold flat so easy storage if you are making a batch of these.
Measurements
Mossy Meadow Card Stock
1pc - 9 1/2" x 7 1/2"
Neutrals DSP Pack
Mossy Meadow - 1pc - 3 3/8" x 3 3/8"
Crumb Cake - 1pc - 2 3/4" x 3/4"
Basic White Card Stock
1pc - 2 7/8" x 2 7/8"
-----------------------------------------
Take the Mossy Meadow Card stock and score as follows:-
Long Side - 3 1/2", 4 1/2", 8" & 9"
Short Side - 1", 2", 5 1/2" & 6 1/2"
Fold and burnish all the score lines well and then cut away at your card to create a shape like this. I used a corner rounder for the tabs, but if you don't have one a really tiny thin notch will work as well.
Add the Mossy Meadow DSP and Basic White. Sponge the edges of the Crumb Cake DSP strip lightly with Crumb Cake ink. Stamp the sentiment in Mossy Meadow into the centre then add to the card front towards the right hand side.
Add tear and tape to the tab you created on the right hand side, fold round and adhere to the other side to form the box shape. Fold in both the top and bottom and the box is now made.
Now to add the Cactus. On scraps, stamp a bowl in crumb cake, and then in Granny Apple Green one large Catcus, and four of the smaller ones.
Cut out using the Cactus builder punch. Take the bowl and ink the edges in Crumb cake, taking the cut out, holding it vertical to the ink pad a very very gently adding ink right into the cut edge. Repeat this with the Cactus pieces, but use Mossy Meadow to ink the edges.
Now, Just add these to the box front using both Liquid glue and Dimensionals to get some different heights and some depth.
