Good Afternoon Everyone
Today I'm taking part in the Crafty Collaborations Valentine's Hop. So, I decided to create a cute little gift bag with the Sweet Talk Paper. And with this particular design, although it definitely fits Valentines, you could actually use it to gift for a birthday or just because really.
Measurements
Sweet Talk DSP
1pc- 12" x 6 1/4"
fussy cut pieces
Highland Heather Card Stock
1pc - 3/4" x 11 3/4"
----------------------------------------
Take you piece of Sweet Talk DSP and score as follows:-
Long Side
Full Scores - 1 1/4", 5 3/4", 7" & 11 1/2"
Part Scored - 5/8" & 6 1/4" to approx 4" down.
Short Side
Full Scores - 5"
Fold and burnish all the full score lines well and then cut away at the DSP. Hold it horizontally with the thinner skinny rectangle to the right. Cut up all the score lines at the bottom, cut straight up at the side of the rectangles and notch into the square sections. Remove the tiny rectangle in the bottom right hand corner, then notch the top and the bottom on the long thin tab you just created. You should get this shape.
Add tear and tape to the thin tab, then fold round and adhere to the opposite side, fold in the sides, back and then adhere the front down.
Pinch in the gift bag at the top and the part scores you added should help this be a nice smooth closure. Wrap the length of Highland Heather around the top and glue the join at the front. Trim off any extra card stock. Remove from the bag and just reinforce the score lines gently with your fingers, no need for the bone folder - unless you want to!
Stamp the sentiment in gorgeous grape ink towards the right of the band and then position back on the back.
Now with a mix of dimensionals and liquid glue, attach a handful of fussy cut hearts and sweets to create a cluster, keeping in mind to only have the glue on the highland heather piece, if you go over, the belly band will not be able to come off the bag.
