Good Afternoon Everyone
Today I've Been Insta-Hopping with the Pootles Team. I made this fabulous gift box using the Hello Ladybug Bundle, and well, I thought you would all like to know how it's made.
These cute ladybug chocolates are really cheap and I stumbled across them in Home Bargains here in the UK.
This measures 3" x 2 3/4" x 3/4" and hold 6 chocolates pretty snuggly.
Measurements
Real Red Card Stock
1pc - 4 1/2" x 7 3/4"
Basic Black Card Stock
1pc - 2 7/8" x 2 5/8"
scraps
Basic White Card Stock
1pc - 2 1/2" x 2 3/4"
scraps
--------------------------------
Take your Real Red Card Stock and score as follows:
Long Side - 3/4", 3 1/2", 4 1/4" & 7
Short Side - 3/4" & 3 3/4"
Fold and burnish your score lines well.
Then, Holding the card stock horizontally, cut up the score lines along the bottom and notch into the squares slightly. Repeat this at the top, and you should be left with a piece looking like this
Take the Basic White card stock and stamp the sentiments into the top right hand corner using memento ink. Once dry, Layer on the basic black mat layer and add to the card stock. You can place this whichever side you wish, but when you adhere, this will become to the top of your box.
To get the thumb notch, mark the centre of the middle panel very lightly. Then tilt your ladybug builder punch so that you are using the side of the body to create a shallow arc.
Now add Seal+ to all the tabs and following the image above fold in the tabs to create a base and a lid. Start with the base - Fold in all the 'B' tabs around to plain card rectangle, then Fold in the two 'A' tabs to firm the lid. Add your Chocolates and then close.
On scrap of basic white stamp the wings in Real Red ink and add the dots with memento. Cut out using the Ladybug builder punch, and also cut out a basic black body. Adhere these together and then add to the lid.
