You are Turtle-y Loved Happy Birthday Gift Bag. Creative Colour Challenges #CCC10

 Good Morning Everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend? Did anyone go any see any Firework displays? We went up to my Mum and Dad's where we had a pie and peas tea and then a small display. They live on the top of a hill as such so we got to see everyone else's displays that were going off in the valley too which was lovely!!

Today, I have my inspiration for this week's Creative Colour Challenges. I thought these colour lent themselves to a more masculine feel, so I decided to make this cute little treat bag decorated with the Turtle Friends stamp set. It measure 2 1/2" x 5 1/4"x 1" - so a good size to add a few treats inside.

Measurements

Basic Gray Card Stock

1pc - 8" x 6"

Whimsy & Wonder DSP

1pc - 2 1/4" x 5 1/8"

Basic White Card Stock

scraps

-----------------------------------

Take the Basic Gray Card Stock and score as follows-

Long Side - Full Length Scores at 1", 3 1/2" & 4 1/2"

Long Side - Part Scores down to approx 4" at 1/2" & 4"

Short Side - 5 1/4"

Fold and burnish all the full score lines, don;t worry about the part scores.

Cut away at your Basic Gray card stock so thst you end up with a shape like this

Now add the DSP to the larger panel to the right hand side.

Then run tear and tape along the tab to the right. Fold round and adher to the opposite side. At the bottom fold in the sides and back, then adhere the front piece down to create a base.

On scraps of basic white stamp the Turtle outlines in basic gray ink and the shell detail in mossy meadow and fussy cut. Also stamp the bowtie and party hat in pacific point ink and fussy cut also. Add these to the front of the box, starting with the larger Turtle.

Stamp the sentiments in Pacific point ink onto some scraps, teim and then add ink to the edges. Adhere these to the bag, above the turtles.

Gently pinch in the thop of the bag and those part score lines will help it come together  smoothly. I decided to just add tissue to the top of the box so that i could get more in Haha, but you could add a closure if you'd prefer.
