Celebrate with Flower Happy Birthday Card. Crafty Collaborations Colour Challenge Blog Hop

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm blog hopping with the Crafty Collaborations ladies and this time we are all following a Colour Challenge! I absolutely love a good colour challenge and this bold combo was right up my street!!

I decided on a very simple design and used coloured card stock to create interest behind a very simple flower and sentiment and I think it works really well in this colour way - but it would look great in so many other different combinations.

Now when you take a look at the list of measurements below, it does seem like a lot of card - but I managed to get a lot of these from my scraps tray! And, you could easily omit a layer if you wanted.

Measurements

Coastal Cabana Card Stock

1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"

1pc - 3 5/8" x 5 3/8"

1pc - 1 3/8" x 4 1/4"

1pc - 7/8" x 4 1/4"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 3/4" x 4 1/8"

scraps for the flowers.

---------------------------------

Take the larger piece of Coastal Cabana card stock and fold along the score line. Ink up the leaf image in bermuda bay and stamp all over the card front. also add a couple of the leaves to the lower right hand corner of the larger basic white piece of card.

Layer up the larger mats of card stock from each colour - the add this to the inside of the card.

On the thinnest basic white strip stamp the sentiment in real red. Stamping the tall stem and leaves in Coastal Cabana ink on the remaining piece. Layer the stamped piece onto the coordinating mats of each colour and add to the card front - centralise them and make sure the top and bottom edges are aligned. As this is a really simple card, you must pay attention to these small details - this is the focal point and you don;t want it to be wonky! haha

Stamp three small flowers in real red ink and fully cut. Add these to the stem with mini dimensionals and finish off with a small rhinestone in the centre of each.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today, please take a look at the list below and continue hopping through to see what everyone else has created with these colours
