Pressed Petals Jumbo Tealight Gift Box and Card #DSPWeek

Good Morning,

I hope you are all doing well, it's Tuesday and I've got a great project for you today as part of my #DSPWeek.

We are focusing on the Pressed Petals DSP today with a great box qhich holds two jumbo tealights and a 4" square card, and you can get both from 1 sheet of A4 Cardstock and a few bits of DSP for decoration! It's really simple as well - bonus!!

Pressed Petals Speciality Designer Series Paper
Box

2pc - 2 1/4" x 3/4"
2pc - 4 3/4" x 3/4"

Card
1pc - 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"

First of all cut you Merry Merlot for the box, cutting the 7" length from the long side, as this will give you enough left over for a card.

Score the 8" x 7" piece of Merry Merlot on the longside at 1", 3 1/2", 4 1/2" & 7", then at 1" & 6" on the short side. Hold this so the 8" length is horizontal and snip up all the score lines. Carefully cut straight up the rectangles, and notch into the square sections slightly as below

Now choose which side will be your lid abd add DSP panels and the picture below, then put a small notch along the thin panelled edge to make it a little easier to open.

Add adhesive to all the tabs you created. Adhere the two tabs on the left hand side to the right hand side, under to small panelled sections to create the lid, Then the middle two tabs again to the right and the final two to the left to create your base.

Using the Petal labels dies and a die cutting machine, cut two straight ovals in very vanilla and two of the decorative ovals from merry merlot. Stamp the sentiment onto the vanilla and layer onto a decorative oval. Place one of these in the centre of the lid.

To make the card, trim down the remaining piece of merry merlot to 8"x 4" and score at 4", add the very vanilla panel to the inside, and the DSP panel to the card front. Finally place the sentiment oval to the centre.
