Come Sail Away My True Friend Greeting Card #DSPWeek

Good Morning,

It's  super miserable outside  today, so I'm not going out if I can help it! Imogen is going out for lunch wirh Grandma so Im hoping for a few hours in the craft room. What are you all up to today?

Before I crack on, I wanted to share my card with you. It's very simole and quick to make. In fact there's minimal effort, The DSP does so much of the work for you.....

Measurements

Sahara Sand Cardstock
1pc - 4 1/8 x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"
1pc scrap for sentiment

Very Vanilla Cardstock
1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper
1pc - 5 7/8" x 3 7/8"
1pc - 1 3/4" x 5 7/8".
2pc - adverts cut from the DSP

Create your card base from the Sahara Sand Cardstock, then with you snips, use the edge of the blade and gently 'scuff' the edges. I just used short scratchy motions to soften those sides. Sponge lightly with early espresso ink.

Take the very vanilla cardstock and gently rip the edges to get that rough worn look. If you hold the card and tear slowly towards you, it will give a better and more even rip. Sponge the edges to add a more vintage feel. Add the the inside of the card.

Follow the same process for the largest piece of DSP, and for the sentiment.

Next sponge all the remaining pieces of DSP.

Put the card together by layering up all your pieces of DSP and the sentiment on the card front.

Finally, colour a few of the pearl gems with a crumb cake blend and arrange around the sentiment.
