You're Inspiring Daffodil Mothers Day Gift Bag. Number 88 of #100things

Good Evening All,

It's Saturday and we had an enormous amount of work to do around the house, so we have had a lot on - but I did manage to sneak an hour in the craft room - which always makes me happy.

Today I have this gorgeous gift bag, which is aimed at Mother's Day because that sentiment came with the daffodils in the You're Inspiring. Stamp set, but you could easily switch it up for any occasion.

Measurements:

Old Olive Cardstock
1pc - 10" x 6"

Daffodil Delight Cardstock
1pc - 4 3/4" x 3 3/4"

Whisper White Cardstock
1pc - 3" x 3 5/8"
1pc - 3" x 7/8"

Take the Old Olive card stock and score on the long side at 1", 2", 5 1/2" & 6 1/2" with full length scores, then part score down approx. 3" at 1 1/2" and 6". On the Short side score at 5". Which should leave your card stock looking like this.

Using your bone folder and burnish all the full score lines well, you don't need to worry about the part score lines just yet.

Now with your snips, cut up all the vertical lines along the bottom of the cardstock to the horizontal score line. Remove the whole square in the lower left hand side and notch into all the squares to create tabs. Also notch into the long thin rectangle on the left hand side.

Add tear and tape to the left hand side flat and fold around and stick to the opposite end. Then fold in the sides, back and then add glue to the under side of the front flap and adhere together to give you  a solid base.

Bring in your whisper white pieces. Stamp the sentiment on the thin strip in memento ink, and add the daffodil image to the larger piece. Once the ink has dried colour in using your watercolour pencils. Go over the colouring with your blender pen to smooth out the colour and remove any harsh pencil lines.

Adhere both of these whisper white pieces onto to the daffodil delight cardstock and them glue this to the front of the gift bag.

Gently pinch the top of the bag and close with a gold library clip. the part score lines you put in at the start will help the bag close neatly and cleanly.

Here's a list of all the supplies I used in today's project, click on the images to head over to my online store.

Thanks for joining me today, I hope you give the gift bag a try.

I hope to see you again soon
