Merry Christmas Button Tree Card. Number 91 of #100things

Hello Everyone,

A quick post from me this evening.

I know what you are thinking - why are you making a Christmas card - it's over now?? Well, you would be right. But I came across a Facebook Group called The Perpetual Christmas Card Club

The idea of the group is just genius. You are set a challenge each week throughout the year and if you follow that through to December, you will have a whole host of cards ready to send and they will be a variety of styles.

This week the theme is Buttons and this is the card I came up with.

Take a piece of whisper white cardstock that measures 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" and score at 4 1/8". Using a piece of scrap cardstock that measures 3" x 4 1/2".

Mark the 1 1/2" point on the short side and then cut down to the opposite end. I find this easier to put in my trimmer as below:-

Once you have cut this line, flip it over and do exactly the same on the opposite side, this will give you a triangle shaped template.

Position the template on the card front and draw a faint pencil line around it.

Ink up the Merry Christmas stamp set and add it to the bottom of the card.

Using a variety of different green coloured buttons fill in this space adhering them with the fine tip glue pen.

Here's a list of the Stampin Up Supplies I Used (the buttons were from my private stash). Click on the images to head over to my online store...

Thank you for stopping by again today - If you get a minute take a look at The Perpetual Christmas Card Club and maybe try a challenge or two and make a start on those Christmas Cards earlier this year.

See you soon
