Now the winter weather is kicking in, I always carry a lip balm around with me because my lip get so dry. It's a pain. So, I thought that other's may be the same, so I designed this cute little gift box to hold a lip balm to jazz it up as a gift.
Measurements:-
Blushing Bride Cardstock
1pc - 5 1/2" x 4 1/2"
scrap for the sentiment
Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper
1pc - 7/8" x 7/8"
4pc - 7/8" x 2 7/8"
Take the blushing bride cardstock and put it into the simply scored with the long side running horizontally. Score at 1", 4" & 5", the rotate 90 degrees and score on the short side at 1", 2", 3" & 4". Your piece of card will look like this:-
Fold and burnish all the score lines. Bring in your snips and remove some of the sections so you are left with the shape below:-
Add the DSP panels to the cardstock as below, and add tear and tape to the left hand tab ( I had to use red line tape as I couldn't find my tear & tape). Round the corners of the top flap and add a thumb notch to the second panel from the right.
Take off the release paper and adhere to the opposite edge, then fold in the two sides and the back and then the add adhesive to the front flap and close up the box.
Add a glue dot to the front of the box, the add the end of the ribbon but only cover half of the dot.
Run the ribbon all the way round, trim and secure on the remaining half of the glue dot.
On a scrap piece of whisper white card stock stamp the for you in blushing bride, and the scallop circle around it in shaded spruce. Cut out with the 3/4" circle punch, and layer on top of a 1" blushing bride circle. Add this to the front of the box, over the ribbon join to hide it.
