Lovely in Linen Happy Birthday Card. Stamping Inkspirations Sketch Challenge Blog Hop. September 2022

  Good Evening Everyone

Today I'm taking part in the Stamping Inkspirations blog hop for October and this month we have a Sketch or 3D Challenge.

I really loved the sketch layout that was picked so I decided to create a card using the Lovely in Linen suite. I absolutely love this suite - the patterns and colours work fantastically well and has a very retro feel. The Ripped Paper or Tearing Technique is super easy, and a great way to add extra interest and texture to a card

Measurements

Sweet Sorbet Card Stock

1pc - 5 7/8" x 8 1/4", scored at 4 1/8"

1pc - scrap

Basic White Card stock

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Night of Navy Card Stock

1pc  - scrap

Vellum

1pc - scrap

Lovely Linen DSP

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

2pc - 3 7/8" x 2 1/2" approx

-------------------------------------------------

Take the Sweet Sorbet Card Stock and fold along the score line to create yoru card base, adding the basic white piece to the inside.

Rub your embossing buddy across the larger piece of DSP, then ink up the large floral image in versamark ink and stamp into the centre of the DSP. Sprinkle with white heat embossing powder, and set with your heat tool. Make sure you have really good coverage as you want the image to stand out on top of the pattern below.

With the two remaining piece of DSP, rip one edge gently down the  3 7/8" side. You need to do this on what will be the inside edge. so rip the right hand side of one, and the left hand side of the other. These will be adhered down onto the the larger DSP piece, so check as you rip to make sure you can still see the image below. Once you are happy with then stick then down using liquid glue - this gives you a little time to adjust and get everything lined up properly.  Make sure the the straight edges all sit flush with the DSP below.

Add this to the card front.

Bring in you Mini Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine and using the Beautiful Shapes Dies cut out the largest circle with the embossed edges in Vellum, and the largest smooth circle in Night of Navy Card stock.

Layer these together and add to the lower right of the card front.

On a scrap of Sweet Sorbet card stock stamp the sentiment in versamark ink and heat set with white embossing powder. Trim down and add banner tails to either end.

Add this to the card front to partially cover the circle elements.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today, please continue through the hop to get lots more crafty inspiration. Robbie is up next, so click the button below to head on over to her blog
