Happy Thursday! Hope you are all having a great week so far.
Today I've made a very simple card by design, but by stamping my own 'DSP' I got to create a very dramatic and unique background for my card.
I absolutely love the Happiness Abounds stamp set - the outline images are very pretty and very easy to colour. Creating this way really does enable you to use a colour combination specifically to your recipients tastes.
Measurements
Night of Navy Card Stock
1pc - 4 1/8" x 11 3/4", scored at 5 7/8"
Basic White Card Stock
2pc - 3 7/8" x 5 5/8"
1pc - scrap

Take the Night of Navy Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base, adding one of the basic white pieces to the inside.
On the remaining piece of white, stamp, in memento ink, a selection of flowers and leaves all over, trying to space quite evenly so you get a reasonable amount of 'background'.
Once the ink is dry, get colouring with a selection of Stampin Blends - or any other colouring medium you like. I coloured the flowers in Cherry Cobbler and Blackberry Bliss, the leaves are in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive and the 'Background' or remaining white space was coloured with Night of Navy.
Add this panel to the card front.
On a scrap of Basic White stamp the sentiment from Charming Sentiments stamp set in Night of Navy ink and cut out using the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies and your Mini Cut & Emboss Machine.
Pop dimensionals onto the back and add this to the centre of the card front.
I did say it was ridiculously easy didn't I?
