Simply Elegant Gift Bags from 6x6" DSP. Share it on a Sunday - Case each other Part 1

 Good Morning Everyone,

A second project today!! woo hoo! This time it's for our long running Share it on a Sunday series and this week we are CASEing each other part 1 (we will be CASEing the other one in a few weeks time!!)

I am CASEing Donna today and I decided to recreate some of these fabulous gift bags that she made back in July 2020! They are a fab little gift bag, you can get 4 from one sheet of 12X12" DSP and they are easy to make! These really do tick a lot of boxes! Final measurements are 5 1/4" x 3/4" x 2" so its a good size for all sorts of goodies.

I've used the Elegantly Said Suite for mine today and this paper is to die for!! I love the bag with the pop of pink!

Measurements

Simple Elegant DSP

1pc - 6x6"

Polished Pink Card Stock

Scrap

Take the DSP score along the first side at 2", 2 3/4", 4 3/4" & 5 1/2" - these score lines will create your sides, so if you have directional designs then it needs to be the right way up here.

Turn 90 degrees anticlockwise and score a 5 1/4", this line forms the base, so make sure your direction is facing left.

Fold and burnish all the score lines and then cut us all the score lines at the bottom. Cut into the squares and notch to make tabs. Remove the thin rectangle from the lower right, and then notch at the top and bottom of the tab you created when removing that earlier rectangle.

Add tear and tape to that thin tab, and fold round to start building the bag. At the bottom fold in your tabs then the back and adhere down the front to create your base.

Pinch in the top and add a a small hole. Thread through some ribbon and tie. I cut out a tag shape from the  Elegant Tag Punch in Polished Pink card stock, then stamped the sentiment and flower in Magenta Madness - I could have used Polished Pink, but I wanted a really deep colour to my stamping. Adding this to my gift bag with a dimensional.
