Merry & Bright, Tidings & Trimmings Christmas Card. Stampin for Christmas Blog Hop July 2021

 Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the Stampin for Christmas Blog Hop. I'm using the Tidings & Trimmings Suite. I just love it all haha, but I've focused on the bundle and DSP for my card today.

Take your sahara sand card stock and fold along the score line. Stamp the star image in sahara sand ink all over the card front.

Add the basic white panel to the inside.

Now, take your everyday label punch and the scraps of the DSP. cut one edge with the punch to create a small tab.

With a longer piece ( approx 5") cut one edge again - but to get the length, you need to feed the paper through just one side. I find it easier to start putting the paper in from the right, then pull the paper up and over to gain your length like below.

So, you should be left with two pieces like this....

Bring in your strip of Sahara Sand and adhere the small piece of DSP to the top, with the decorative edge facing down, then stamp the sentiment below, adding the remaining piece of DSP under that, with the decorative edge facing up this time. Trim of the bottom of the DSP if it over hangs the card stock and then add this to the card front, slightly in from the left hand side.

On a scrap of DSP stamp the bow in Cherry Cobbler ink, colour and add to the card.

Using your Cut & Emboss Machine and your dies, cut a detailed star from gold foil and two of the larger solid star shapes from evening evergreen and gold foil.  You will see that there's a small lip created when you die cut the larger star, so you need to trim that off the evening evergreen piece. it's only a small increment, but it will mean you have a nice border of gold showing underneath.

Layer up these three shapes, detailed gold star, evening evergreen star and the gold foil star. Then add this to the right hand side of the card.
