Well Suited Father's Day Dad Shirt Card. Crafty Collabs Fathers Day Blog Hop May 2021

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in a Father's Day Hop with the Crafty Collaborations Ladies. Here's in the UK we celebrate Father's Day towards to the end of June, but it differs across the world, but in all honesty you could easily switch up a lot of these designs to be suitable for any male occasion.

I have CASEd the fabulous Donna from Taffy Crafting for my card today - honestly I had seen the Shirt Cards all over, but when I tried to sit down with to work out some measurements, It really wasn't happening so I have used her measurements here. There's a link to her blog post further down.

Measurements

1pc - 5 3/4" x 1"

1pc - 3" x 1 1/2"

scraps

Well Suited DSP

1pc - 4" x 5 3/4"

1pc - 2 3/8" x 1 7/8"

1pc - 5 5/8" x 7/8"

1pc - 2 7/8" 1 7/8"

1pc - 1/2" x 1 3/4"

Basic White Card Stock.

1pc - 5 5/8" x 3 7/8"

Take the largest piece of Basic Black and fold along the score line, adding the basic white panel to the inside. Add the largest piece of DSP to the card front.

Layer up the 5 5/8" x 7/8" DSP with the black mat and adhere to the card. Lining up the right hand side with the edge of the DSP on the card front.

Next take the 3" x 1 1/2" piece of basic black and the DSP that is 1/8" smaller and cut in half on the diagonal so you are left with triangle. Layer the two pieces together and and add to the card front so the longest side of the triangle runs along the edge of the DSP at the top.

Layer up the two small rectangles and pop to one side!

Take the final piece of card and DSP. To create the points, mark the centre on the shortest side and then mark 1 1/4" up on either side. Now cut diagonally from the dot of the side to the dot along the centre to get that pointed bottom. Make sure you do this on both pieces then glue together. Add the skinny rectangle you have, then place this on the card front to create a pocket.

Cut of the letters to spell dad using you Playful Alphabet dies and some black card Stock. Add these to the pocket.

Finally add some of the Matt black gems to the pocket and the thin strip on the right so they look like buttons.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. please take a few minutes to take a look at all the blogs in the list below - you won't be disappointed - there's some fabulously talented people on the hop today...
