Sending Smiles Birthday Wishes Slimline Card. CAS Colours & Sketches Blog. #523

 Good Morning Everyone,

Today I'm taking part in the current CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #523  and this week we have a sketch to follow on a Slimline Card. I'll be honest I don;t often make Slimline cards, but I had a lot of fun creating this.

I've used the Sending Smiles Stamp set for the sentiment and I used the circle image from Enchanted Butterfly to add a small amount of subtle interest to the background and finished it off with some black & White gingham ribbon. What do you think?

Measurements

Thick Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 8 1/2" x 7, scored at 3 1/2"

Basic White Card Stock

1pc - 4" x 3 1/2"

Melon Mambo Card Stock

2pc - 3 1/2" x 1/2" approx

Bubble Bath Card Stock

2pc - 3 1/2" x 1/2" approx.

----------------------------------------------------

Take the Thick Basic White Card Stock and fold along the score line to create your card base.

Ink up the Circle image from Enchanted Butterfly in Bubble Bath ink and stamping off first cover the whole piece of the 4" x 3 1/2" piece of Basic White. Flip the stamp and add the small dots image into the centre of the circles, again stamping off first.

Using Melon Mambo ink, stamp the sentiments diagonally into the centre of the card, making sure it's 3 1/2" along the horizontal.

Take the strips of Melon Mambo and Bubble Bath and add then to the top and bottom to create a thin border, I show about 1/8".

Run a length of ribbon below the sentiment and adhere on the back with a bit of tape, then using the same ribbon tie a little bow and add on toto the strip of ribbon with a glue dot.

Finally add this panel to the centre of the card front.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today - I really enjoyed making it!!
